Who was the first guy to use pyro on a regular basis?
 

Just wondered about this the other day.

Who was/were the first guy/s to use pyro as part of their entrance?

Feel like DX must have been pretty early adopters.

I would honestly have to think it was someone in NWA/WCW because I feel like they invested more into that production stuff before the WWF did. When Lex Luger returned in '95, he nearly always had pyro for Nitro. If there was an episode where he didn't it was probably because they screwed up. Of course we all know how inconsistent WCW was with their tech in those days.

Your right Steve, NWA had pyro before WWE in the 80's. They didn't run big enough arena's to do it at every show but for the most part PPV's and Clash's had Pyro for any big name like Luger, Flair, and Sting.
