Ring Ka King

I'm actually curious to see how this thing goes. Recent reports have listed potential involvement from Chris Masters, Chavo Guerrero, MVP, Cliff Compton, Nick Dinsmore, Sonjay Dutt, Shawn Daivari, Arya Daivari (Shawn's younger brother), Cheerleader Melissa, Matt Morgan, Abyss, Carlito and even Bobby Lashley. That reads as a pretty interesting list of former WWE/TNA talent.

Although the product is currently being designed exclusively for Indian audiences, there's a possibility that it could be picked up by outside networks, which I think could be awesome, since I'm sort of more excited for this than I am TNA's usual stuff.

DLVH84 12-11-2011 02:03 AM

It's definitely going to be interesting. I hope they have videos of it soon.

Mr. Nerfect 12-11-2011 02:06 AM

Dave Lagana is involved in the creative process, apparently. So it should make more sense than Impact.

taker707 12-11-2011 05:13 AM

But so is jarrett and Dutch Mantel so well see

Aguakate 12-11-2011 12:45 PM

Savio Vega is also involved, so...it'll be shit.

Smart move TNA. There are 1.2 billion people in India so lets do some mathematics...

There are 312 million people in the United States. Impacts facebook suggests that 674,039 of those 312 million are Impact Wrestling / TNA fans. If the mathematics are correct that means, being generous here, that %.3 of the U.S. population likes Impact Wrestling / TNA.

Lets apply the same proportion to India and we come up with a potential 3,600,000 (3.6 million) Impact Wrestling / TNA fans.

Hulk Hogan: Hey Dixie, Half Pint Brawlers didnt work, nobody cared about Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling, lets go do something wrestling related in India, brother!

WWE Rejects go to India!

Mr. Nerfect 12-13-2011 03:12 AM

Only five of those nine names have ever worked for the WWE...

Aguakate 12-13-2011 03:24 AM

Is this going to be some Tough Enough-type stuff or something? Or what?

The Naitch 12-13-2011 05:12 AM

What? The one Puerto Rican with any redeeming value is involved so it'll be shit?

I loved Savio until he had that gang of middle-aged fat guys.

Juan 12-13-2011 05:18 AM

Also known as "4 middle-aged fat guys"

#BROKEN Hasney 12-13-2011 05:48 AM

I just loved his King of the Ring run and in the Nation, but him and his gang wasn't exactly Mexicool

To be fair, they were 321712398031 times more entertaining than DOA. The feud was horrible though.

Lock Jaw 12-14-2011 04:12 PM

Sonjay Dutt = The Goods

#1-norm-fan 12-14-2011 05:25 PM

This isn't a bad idea. Yes, I am complimenting TNA. Wow.

Yup. Only 5...out of 9 names. 56% WWE Rejects!

Tanawesome 12-14-2011 06:31 PM

Sounds like a good opportunity for TNA to debut their new character Bollywood Hulk Hogan!

erickman 12-15-2011 11:39 AM

i am waiting for the dvd i bet we can get good matches out of these people. i wish chavo would have taking over the rosa and sarata group though he would have been better on impact.

So the tapings for this started yesterday in Mumbai . Heres a few pics of the set up . the name of it is Ring Ka King . Which means King of the Ring. Orginal I know but the setup looks amazing.

lol. Wait, can they use WWE copyrighted names if it's in a different language? Goldmine!

#1-norm-fan 12-21-2011 02:52 PM

Can't wait for Mania Ka Wrestling in April

Xero 12-21-2011 02:55 PM

Entertainment Ka Wrestling

erickman 12-21-2011 03:38 PM

it sounds like stiener got over well as a heel over there, i hope we get to see that show over here.

VSG 12-21-2011 03:59 PM

You can't just reverse a phrase and add "ka" in between. Here, "ka" essentially means 's. So Ring Ka King would be Ring's King.

XL 12-21-2011 05:45 PM

Better than King's Ring, I guess.

Not used to hearing wrestling fans cheering when people are speaking foreign languages on the microphone.

Yes, just over half have had sustained runs in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Almost half are entirely fresh faces for those who have never seen anything outside the WWE before. I don't get your point.

Mr. Nerfect 01-29-2012 01:19 AM

I'm definitely going to give this a watch when I get the chance. From the recap I read, Chris Masters' "American Adonis" character sounds amazing. It's pretty much his Masterpiece shtick, but now Masters is actually good and the idea of him being so pro-American in India sounds like a gold mine.

Lock Jaw 01-29-2012 01:19 AM

lolll Eugene with a Dr. Dinsmore gimmick.

Lock Jaw 01-29-2012 02:17 AM

Alright, back to my running commentary.

Sonjay Dutt looking mad bald and creepy. Has his TNA theme which I always liked.
