My father and law won it at his companies Christmas draw like 2-3 years ago and it was barely used in their rec room for obvious reasons.

Who has one and what are some good games. I already am getting The Force Unleashed and Red Steel.

Any of the Call of Duty games on the Wii considering Treyarch did them all although no Zombie modes on Modern Warfare 1 or 3.

Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles & Umbrella Chronicles were pretty good as rail/light gun shooters.

Nah, that's a waste of cash. If you wanted it modded, you can soft-mod it with an SD card and play any game you like off a USB hard drive.

IMO the most use i've gotten out of my Wii is a tool for netflex. Smash Bros. Is nice but most of the games are gimmicks. As long as you got the game it game with you'll be alright. Bowling is the shit. You just have to buy too much stuff to go along with it. But the house of the dead game pack is nice. Alot of the games I found you play hardcore for like a week and then never pick them up again.

I got 6 games with this, none of which I particularly enjoy at all. Think I might sell it for more Christmas money.

I had an offer for it inquiring about Gamecube ports, wasn't aware of these. Exactly how backwards compatible is this? Is DoR 1 and 2, along with Mario Kart possible?

Yes it is 100% backwards compatible with the Gamecube. You still need Gamecube memory cards and controllers since neither the Wii mote nor internal memory is useable for the games.

Only the newer Blue Wii models don't have GC compatibility but those only started to come out last month in the US and Canada.

I think it has more to do with me having no previous interest in owning this system, not bothering with Wii threads on here due to that and no one I know owning one as well that would contribute to me not knowing it had Gamecube ports instead of my stupidity.

Personally, I'd like to see IW do a Call Of Duty game on Wii.... If they could pull it off.

I think I may get a Wii sometimes in the future, but for now I sold it. I think I am going to pick up a gamecube for the Metroid games I watched my friend play on there.

And yes, I know I could have played it on the Wii.

Why not just keep it?? There are enough really good games to justify owning it and on top of that you can d/l nes games and play the gamecube game you mentioned on there..

I can get a Wii somewhere down the road for a lot less then I sold it for. I already have many unfinished games.

To give an idea, I sold the lot for $210. I know where I can get a Wii for $60.

If you care to list some games to pick up it would be appreciated.
