Could Bobert Roode make it in the WWE?

Obviously, Robert Roode is a pretty big name in TNA...and he has a great character that I always liked and well, theres not much to do in TNA. Do u think if he was to come to the WWE he could get over, or is his "overness" in TNA because TNA doesnt have people to overshadow him?

I'd like to thing that Bobby Roode can become a big deal in the WWE, and then I remember Braden Walker.
Do u think Roode can be good if he was to go to WWE? Or is he only a big fish in a small pond?

EDIT : I just noticed I mispelled Robert in the title but Bobert sounds funny so I left it.

Aguakate 12-22-2011 04:03 PM

Bobert Roode is awesome.

Anybody Thrilla 12-22-2011 04:04 PM

I think that eventually he may be able to do well in WWE, but I don't think that the crowd would react to him at all upon his debut.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-22-2011 04:04 PM

Braden Walker was a fat mess. Robert Roode is the shit. Big difference.

DaveBrawl 12-22-2011 04:11 PM

If given the chance I think he could do pretty well.

Aguakate 12-22-2011 04:13 PM

I'm not sure if Vince would be down with pushing guys from TNA, given the fact that there's so much new, young talent in the WWE right now. I guess he'd focus more on developing that talent, than give the spotlight to someone from TNA.

Most of TNA could make it in WWE if the cards were delt right. Hell, Braden Walker could have been huge (and not just his ass).

But looking at a guy like Roode, yea, he can be JBL with a better work rate. I'd rather see James Storm hit WWE with his name/gimmick/music/everything about him but I'm still digging Roode.

I love Robert Roode and think he would be amazing in WWE.

They'd make James Storm cut his hair, call him Theodore Punchhywinkle and have him debut on NXT as a "geeky librarian" who learned about wrestling when he checked out a wrestling magazine at the library.

I'm fairly sure Metallica wrote a song about that theory.
SPOILER: show
Sad but ture

Nicky Fives 12-22-2011 05:28 PM

Yes, Bobert Roode could make it in WWE if given a proper shot by creative.....

MoFo 12-22-2011 08:27 PM

Yeah, hes pretty much Triple H v2

Emperor Smeat 12-22-2011 08:49 PM

Roode would work out well in the WWE and probably even better had Beer Money stayed together as a team when the WWE considered revitalizing the tag team division.

Maybe not WWE/World Champion level now like he is at the moment in TNA.

Roode/Ziggler Alliance

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-23-2011 10:04 AM

WWE would probably try to call him Bobert Roode.

Supreme Olajuwon 12-23-2011 10:55 AM

I don't think the WWE would try to call him Bobert Roode, SlickyTrickyDamon.

Iop 12-23-2011 11:03 AM

Wes Wiggler, Dolph's awkward cousin.

Jordan 12-23-2011 11:07 AM

Bobert Roode ruined my life

Jordan 12-23-2011 11:08 AM

Bobert Rood is a home wrecker.

XL 12-23-2011 03:35 PM

All depends on how they push/handle him.

He'd get over huge if they gave him the debut treatment of a guy like Del Rio. Make him a "big deal" from the get-go with vignettes and then back that up with wins/important programmes.

Of course, that would only happen with a "clean slate"/forgetting that he worked in TNA.

Failing that, you have a ready made tag team partner for Ted DiBiase. "Cash Money" could be bigger than "Beer Money".

They'll probably call him "Bob Rude".

The only people from TNA he'd give any kind of a push are guys who used to work for him. Both Truth and Christain were employees of the WWE, went to TNA, and went back to WWE, both got something of a push. Christain kinda got screwed over with Orton going to Smackdown, but I don't think he was going to be that monumental of a face figure anyways. R Truth would have done good had the firing angle gone on a bit longer, due to the popularity of the controversies created by invaders not employed by the company, but the prematurity of the Miz turning on him fucked that all up. For Roode, there would be a long route to a not-so-popular main eventer by just throwing him in mix as just another wrestler, but for him to emerge as somebody in an executive power position, like say the one pulling the strings in the conspiracy angle or emerge as the leader of an Outsiders-like stable (consisted of those from TNA), he could be a popular heel, and with a very long period of time afterwards, he can comfortably be a legendary face. This is, considering, if the WWE is conduct business the way they always do, or experiment with new ways to push, if they push him at all.

You're talking about a company who changed the name of a guy WHO WAS ALREADY EMPLOYED from "Nicky" to "Dolph Ziggler" and "Matt Sydal" to "Evan Bourne". Point: Slicky.

Juan 12-24-2011 01:07 AM

I dunno, as silly as some people think the name Dolph Ziggler is, I think it's highly unlikely that they would introduce a guy named "Bobert"

You see, the member who made this thread, he wrote "Bobert" instead of "Robert", and you know, people picked it up and ran with it...

...and stuff.

Juan 12-24-2011 01:49 AM

Yes I fucking know that. I was replying to the remarks SlickyTrickyDamon & Tom Guycott made.

God I hate you
