Seriously, if you don't know what "tool assisted" means, you can fucking google it. And no, it has nothing to do with the "slide thing." Using an in-game technique is not why a play is called "tool assisted."

Wrong again. Anyone who plays a game is a gamer, whether you like it or not. Just because you may play games more often than some doesn't make you any more of a gamer than anyone else.

Also, for the record, this whole thread is pointless. Millions have speedran SM64 on their own time. This guy's doing nothing special. This could have have just gone in "Videogame News" or "What are you currently playing?". Though you'd still get the same neg reps and well deserved KK posts aimed at shooing you off

I agree with Iop to a point. I don't think just playing videogames makes you a "gamer". It used to when it was sort of a niche hobby, but I feel like the definition has evolved as the culture of videogames has evolved, and become more mainstream. Feel like that term only applies to people who treat it as a serious hobby.

That said, I don't think disliking speed runs disqualifies you. That's kind of silly.
