What do you guys think of the list? Note, only 3 of the top 10 come from WWE. Do you agree with this list? Anybody you feel was left off, or who shouldn't be placed in this grouping?

Corporate CockSnogger 12-24-2011 06:53 PM

Never heard of most of them.

CSL 12-24-2011 06:54 PM

Power Slam can suck a big fat penis nowadays, Fin Martin is a fucking idiot. These lists and the mag itself were alright 5-6 years ago.

That is the first thing that came to my mind.

Xero 12-24-2011 07:00 PM

Dave Mercy :(

Aguakate 12-24-2011 07:01 PM

Alberto Del Rio #41 out of 50.

Fucking bullshit.

BizarroKing 12-24-2011 07:04 PM

hey anyone else notice someone not on that list? We truly can't see him. And that's the best early xmas gift of all so far.

XCaliber 12-24-2011 07:05 PM

WTF Miz at 48 REALLY?!?

Orton being #2 kind of negates that, though.

Seriously though, Cena does belong on this list, don't care who else is on there. And for that reason alone this is ridiculous.

Fin Martin hates Cena, cries about him in like every single issue. The magazine is pretty much a mutie handbook nowadays.

Xero 12-24-2011 07:12 PM

I assume he blows Orton like a $2 whore?

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:15 PM

I don't know most of the Japanese guys, but Dolph Ziggler's placement makes me feel that this list sucks dickholes. He should at least be top five. Also, where the fuck is Cody Rhodes? Also, why the fuck is Bully Ray on there?

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:16 PM

Actually, I kinda like Bully Ray, but NOT ON A LIST LIKE THIS.

Next Big Thing 12-24-2011 07:19 PM

Any "best wrestlers" list that has Jeff Jarrett, Bully Ray and the Miz while excluding Cena is a ridiculous joke. This seems like blatant Cena hate.

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:21 PM

Based on in-ring showings, huh? How do you even quantify that?

they're big on/bang up to date/cover a lot of puro so the Japs always do well and deservedly so. They've just gotten really whiny over the last few years though/completely miss the point of so much/developed love for MOVEZ/hold pro wrestling to the same standards as an HBO show etc, like I say mutie type stuff.

CSL 12-24-2011 07:32 PM

an aggregate type list of all the previous PS 50's, shows they were pretty accurate for the most part (it's fucked up looking because the WKYYWWKKWKWKABBBWKKWKW editor gimmick is being a bit of a prick and telling me the good/proper looking version won't post)

no idea, I only read other peoples copies nowadays/haven't read it for months

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:38 PM

I don't even mean to take anything away from the Japanese guys that I've never seen wrestle, but there's no way Jeff Jarrett had a better in-ring year than Cody Rhodes, no matter what kind of formula they use.

Aguakate 12-24-2011 07:38 PM

Just think, according to these people, Randy Orton is #1 in the US.

I don't think that's accurate.

There's at least an argument there, though...not to be made by me, but there's one there.

CSL 12-24-2011 07:40 PM

Randy Orton has a pretty good claim for #1 on the planet

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:41 PM

I don't remember any bad Randy Orton matches this past year, and he even wrestled Mark Henry a few times. He even had what I would call a four star showing with Drew McIntyre on Raw with no build up whatsoever.

CSL 12-24-2011 07:41 PM

now it almost seems like I'm sticking up for them.

Fuck Power Slam and Randy Orton is outstanding basically.

Yeah but CM Punk, John Cena and Alberto Del Rio all had multiple awesome matches in between all three of them.

Granted, it was all basically done in the second half of the year, but...

BOW DOWN TO HIROSHI TANAHASHI.... BEST IN THE WOOOOOORLD!!

CSL 12-24-2011 07:49 PM

he's very very good, can't really compare puro guys to WWE/TV style guys tho

Like I said, there's an argument to be made, short of a formula to actually calculate match quality per individual involved...which is pretty impossible. I like all those guys too, and I do think this list is full of ball hairs and snot, but Orton MIGHT be the best in the US still.

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:54 PM

I wonder if DLVH85 would like to offer some insight to this list whenever he gets done jerking off to it.

I still don't understand the "formula" used here. The should just say "These are the best guys according to me, and if you disagree, suck my dick".

Instead of talking about some system they use.

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 07:59 PM

Right. I'd at least like to see the formula.

Xero 12-24-2011 07:59 PM

They should use this formula:

Average length of their matches * Number of matches + (Average number of moves preformed in their matches - Amount of botches) - Amount of time using rest holds / the combined length of their promo time

If match length is being multiplied and promo time is being subtracted, the list would be all Japanese.

Xero 12-24-2011 08:08 PM

Promo time is replaced with average amount of chops used in the match for Japanese wrestlers.

Anybody Thrilla 12-24-2011 08:09 PM

Now we're talking.

Lock Jaw 12-24-2011 08:22 PM

Amount of SUPERKICKS

Xero 12-24-2011 08:25 PM

That's for the indies.

Rammsteinmad 12-24-2011 08:47 PM

The #1 wrestler of 2011 is a guy nobody's heard of. Great list. :y:
