Who could realistically get the WWE the biggest buyrate for WrestleMania?

Hogan, Austin, Rock, Sting etc would give the WWE a boost for the WM buyrate but the biggest buyrate came for WrestleMania 23 which I think was boosted a lot by Donald Trump's involvement. So what single person could give the WWE the biggest possible buyrate by wrestling a match or even just being involved in some way?

Please be somewhat realistic so it can't be someone like Barack Obama. I'm thinking either a sports figure or a Hollywood a-lister.

Kobe Bryant? Johnny Depp? Eminem vs Cena? And how would they be involved and if its in a match against who?

Dirk Ziggler 12-26-2011 07:31 AM

Matt Hardy

Providence Peep 12-26-2011 08:25 AM

BRING BACK THE KILLER BEES. :shifty:

Iop 12-26-2011 10:19 AM

Adam Sandler in every single match.

#1-norm-fan 12-26-2011 10:34 AM

Eminem vs Cena actually might draw pretty huge...

#1-norm-fan 12-26-2011 10:41 AM

Definitely not Kobe Bryant. Hell, Shaq would draw better and he might actually be at this year's WM.

Also, if they were to actually have Jim Carrey host Raw or something and re-hashed that mini feud they had during the Man on the Moon filming into a Kaufman-esque feud with Jerry Lawler leading to a match at WM, that would raise the buyrate like the dickens.

Verbose Minch 12-26-2011 11:26 AM

Sting would not draw a big buy rate.

At all.

bull shit that's all everybody talked about last year with that 'taker video

Nicky Fives 12-26-2011 12:20 PM

It pains me to say this, but.....

SPOILER: show
Justin Bieber [/thread]

Attitude99 12-26-2011 01:04 PM

Undertaker vs Cena with a Cena Heel Turn. I don't know why they waste him with Rock. It will be probably Takers Last Mania Match with 20-0.

Funnier if its Takers last match and Cena wins.

Razzamajazz 12-26-2011 01:58 PM

if snooki couldn't do it nobody can

Mr. C 12-26-2011 02:15 PM

They could get a huge buyrate from Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker.

SEXUAL VANILLA 12-26-2011 02:35 PM

John Cena vs Will Smith

Corporate CockSnogger 12-26-2011 02:52 PM

or even better, Will Smith vs The Rock in a cool black guy contest. Samuel L Jackson as the ref.

Rock Bottom 12-26-2011 03:28 PM

Aaron Rodgers

MoFo 12-26-2011 03:28 PM

Wonder if they could get Lady Gaga in a diva match, she does all mad shit so might be up for it.

Next Big Thing 12-26-2011 03:29 PM

A mini Justin Bieber concert in the middle of the show would definitely break all records.

Kane Knight 12-26-2011 04:47 PM

Tupac should return live at Wrestlemania. And if it can be more than one person, he should bring Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison.

....

I wouldn't have guess Trump would be the big factor he was. I mean, I know he had a show, I know that mouthbreathers still treat him like he's relevant, but that was effin' HUGE.

I do want to see Beiber show up on Raw (or Mania), so we can get dueling chants of "let's go Beiber!/Beiber sucks!"

Aguakate 12-26-2011 04:48 PM

Stone Cold vs CM Punk would probably be the WM that would bring in the most money in history.

You think so? I don't think it would draw more than Rock vs Cena since Rock has more mainstream drawing power than Austin. I'm thinking the people who said Justin Bieber are actually probably right lol

Kliq4Life 12-26-2011 08:06 PM

Austin vs Rock IV

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-26-2011 11:57 PM

Conan O'Brien Vs. Jay Leno.

Except for all the people that said Undertaker, which was clearly what it was.

Sting draws huge numbers for TNA, there's no doubt he'll draw huge for WWE!

Over 75% of WWE's audience has no idea who or what a "Sting" is.....

Shadrick 12-27-2011 10:29 AM

A lot of yall are talking dream matches and not matches that will actually SELL....

Rammsteinmad 12-27-2011 11:52 AM

Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler in a Lumberjack Match where the LJ's are all the cast members of The Expendables 2.

Rammsteinmad 12-27-2011 11:53 AM

Except Jean-Claude Van Damme, who will be preparing for his main event match against The Undertaker.

i don't know about that even though they have alot of young fans, i would say a 3rd at most don't know who he is.

Xero 12-27-2011 02:27 PM

The Rock is probably the last guy who can bump it significantly on his own, to be honest. A celebrity like Justin Beiber singing or even wrestling isn't going to bump it much, if at all, especially if you consider it's $55.

I think there are combinations of people who could bump it by a large amount, but for single guys, Rock is it. It wouldn't have mattered what he did, and last year proved that. I honestly believe he pulled in 200k minimum simply because he was on the show.

Lesnar's probably second, but he's situation dependent. He would need to wrestle someone who could be taken as a legit bad ass like Taker.

Rammsteinmad 12-27-2011 02:38 PM

Or Tyson Kidd.

yeah i am with you on that, now it is the rock, 10 years ago it was hogan or flair. stone cold will be the best for the next one. on sting if vince or trips want to do it right he would have a killer hof angle.

Eklipse 12-27-2011 04:44 PM

Daniel Tosh. Also, he should induct Savage/Rick Rude into the HoF when it happens. Haha.

#1-norm-fan 12-27-2011 06:40 PM

I wonder if Mickey Rourke facing Jericho 2 years ago would have been huge...
