Capcom is official celebrating this landmark franchise this year. What that means in terms of events and releases is unknown. As for us, memories. Commentary. All that fluffy jazz. Go.

I'll get into it after I finish a few videos.

I still remember the first time I purposefully performed a Shoryuken. I was so happy I ran home to tell my family. <333

I remember playing all night fighting the bosses. Vega was a bitch (irony). And Bison was nigh impossible.

Ken was the first character I stuck to, and I played Bison as a main up until Street Fighter 4. I liked Cammy but she didn't become my main until SF4. Then Sakura came out of nowhere.

Street Fighter II Championship Edition ended up being the very first non-Nintendo system game I played not counting arcade games.

Played it on a Sega Genesis at a relative's house during my vacation to the Azores in the mid-90s. Also remember having a win-loss ratio of around 1:50 but didn't care since the game was really fun.

Madly in love with "Cammy" tbh.

Fight choreography was meh, but I like the training stage/danger room thing.

When I got my SNES for Christmas, Street Fighter II was game I got with it.

Epic Sakura vs Juri feud with Kalyx, as well as hilarious antics with Funky Fly's brother are my best SF4 memories.

Video Game things that probably shouldn't be done in live action: Chun Li's attire.

We never quite settled that. I do have the game, AE DLC and ver2012 primed. We should throw down, all of us. I think Drakul didn't get AE yet.

Some random match with a guy who eventually became an XBLive buddy. I have no idea what happened to me in the second and third rounds, I just went retarded.

My disc somehow got fucked up. I suspect roomates had something to do with it. Either way, I won't have the game on xbox for a little while.

I remember playing at the arcade around 1993/1994.
I loved watching older kids play and thinking "wow..someday I will be able to do the special moves".

I'll probably be playing more now. We just started up a SSF4:AE league at work this past Monday. I need all Juri players to report front and centre... I steamrolled everyone except one guy, who uses Juri. He's up on me 4 wins to 2. Everyone else has a round at most on me.

I tried Juri. Gave her up. She's cool, though.
