The first Avatar was one of my favorite animated shows ever. So I'm really looking forward to this one.
Dope
Just got a bit of a boner.
So pumped for this!
The first two episodes are online:
http://www.korranation.com/ I have fallen in love all over again. |
Amazing.
Filled the cup.
I finished Avatar: The Last Airbender literally an hour ago, and find out there's a sequel series starting soon. Happy times :)
I just found out this has been on for a bit. After 2 episodes, I can't believe how awesome it is.
Episode 3 will make you a firm believer.
Episode four just froze on me.

Honest to God, Legend of Korra is one of the best animated series I've ever seen. The animation's phenomenal, and the characters are extremely well-written; Korra may be the best example I've seen of an animated action-heroine that kicks ass without dragging the series down in some ham-fisted 'girl power' message. It does such a great job of building on the foundations that Avatar laid out, while still being an incredibly entertaining story in its own right.
Also, I can't look at Amon without immediately thinking Doctor Doom. Which is appropriate, considering that Legend of Korra is essentially a steampunk superhero series. |
I mark out about every episode.
It is paramount to watch Airbender in its entirety to enjoy the little nods and gags they sneak in every episode. I fucking love this show. |
Loved this season.
Yes, it was good. I finished it the night I posted about it. I hear there is supposed to be a second season, but there isn't an established villain unless Dr. Doom survived the boat explosion.
So we'll have a new villain/conflict. I doubt they'd undermine the Blood Bending brothers' final scene by having one of them survive. It's the first onscreen death of the series, it's gonna remain.
Probably gonna be fighting Koh. At least that's the speculation I've heard.
That makes some sense I guess. Koh is in the spirit world, and Korra has trouble with that sort of thing. I could see a lot of spirit world adventures in the next season.
Would be interesting seeing that... thing come and cause trouble. But he's only confined to the spirit realm, right?
I would like some new flashbacks to the adult Team Avatar. This maybe just me, but I swear the way Toph delivered her old nickname for Aang had a tone of flirtation. Maybe I'm falling into 'shipping', idk. |
Uh Koh kinda killed a previous Waterbender Avatar's wife and took her face. I don't think he's exactly confined to the Spirit Realm. Course part of the duties of an Avatar is to keep the spirits from crossing over so maybe this'll happen?
I meant since his actions, but maybe he waiting for the right time. Maybe he has a grudge against Water Benders in general, which would also be fitting.
Started watching the first series about an hour ago. Some chick I know is a huge fan of it and recommended I watch it since I watched the movie and hated it. 3 episodes in and I love it so far. It's great.
Epic series, and just plain fun.

Yeah Book 2 is going to be AMAZING!
Hot damn, that looks good.
The story of the first Avatar was amazing as fuck.
The animation was just...wow.
Now if they make every episode of Korra like that I think this show might go places. |
It's already going places. I like the default style they use, but the style of the origin story was really cool too.

Oh sweet holy fuck yes.
Nick should throw them tons of money for a full length animated movie. Let's do this.
Returns in a two-parter June 27th.

Oh damn.
