i just picked up dr who series six pt. one

I have never watched Dr who before. Is this an ok place to start?

Kane Knight 01-19-2012 09:20 PM

NO.

Kane Knight 01-19-2012 09:20 PM

That was supposed to be "No," not "NO."

Indifferent Clox 01-19-2012 09:21 PM

I've had friend say they started there and were not lost. Ill go back if I like it. But for the record where should I have started?

El Fangel 01-19-2012 09:27 PM

Look for the Season 1 Episode 1 Titled "Rose"

Trust me, I'm a Doctor Who fangerl because of it. I remember you once told me to listen to an album start to finish to enjoy it more. This is the same premise.

Indifferent Clox 01-19-2012 09:39 PM

Oh definetly. I usually do try to start at the beginning. However its just not available in my region as far as I can find it. Maybe on.Amazon but we don't typically shop online.

Where is a place to watch online or get them cheap?

Also random question: is there a way to make my android shoe up on my TV or minuter with just a USB cord a ps3/ internetless comp with just a USB cord?

El Fangel 01-19-2012 09:42 PM

No idea about the phone question.

Torrents for the episodes man, Isohunt seems to be the best to find them.

Indifferent Clox 01-19-2012 09:50 PM

I don't have enough room on my android for movies. I might delete a bunch of music but even then its like I'd download 1 which would take hours and Id still only be able to watch them on my phone unless somehow I burned them all to data, at this point I'd rather buy it. Of I had a PC with net it'd be a differ t story. My Gf isn't gonna stare at this tiny screen for 800 episodes lol

El Fangel 01-19-2012 10:10 PM

Oh, well I dunno what to tell you then. See if the library has them available?.

Why even ask if you're not going to listen?

Regardless, you'll probably be too stoned to know if you missed anything, and if nothing makes sense, it's status quo for you.

Also, you have an Android Shoe? Are you Maxwell Smart?

But seriously, how you can connect your Droid up depends on what phone you have. Saying "How can I hook up my Android?" Is a stupid question because "Android" is an operating system, not hardware.

Indifferent Clox 01-19-2012 10:14 PM

Samsung inspire.

I'm going to listen. I was just explaining why I asked

XCaliber 01-19-2012 10:35 PM

If you're new I would have started at series 5 so you at least get to see how it all begins for the 11th Doctor at the very least.

Indifferent Clox 01-19-2012 10:52 PM

Season five was 80 bucks LOL season six part 1 was 25 bucks... ████ my cheapness! My friend said to start with eccleson or something.

El Fangel 01-20-2012 12:41 AM

Yes, Eccleston is the 9th Doctor, 1st in the series reboot.

Indifferent Clox 01-20-2012 01:13 AM

This Fu</>cking is awful. Really wanted to watch Dr. Who

El Fangel 01-20-2012 01:17 AM

Can you not get a friend to burn the first season? Really is fantastic and has The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances

Incredible episodes.

Also Season 3 Episode 10 is goddamn amazing and won several awards. DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR YOURSELF!

Indifferent Clox 01-20-2012 01:21 AM

:'(

El Fangel 01-20-2012 01:28 AM

Sorry, but I cannot in good judgment say you should watch that before the rest.

Indifferent Clox 01-20-2012 01:35 AM

Thanks mane. Texted my buddy. Maybe he can send me some. I'm willing to do a DVD trade I have any Wrestling DVD you could want from the Indies or Japan possibly. Ill do disc for disc. Anyone interested hit me up.

Also, don't blink. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink.

Indifferent Clox 01-21-2012 09:45 AM

That's assuming it to be one continuous series. It really isn't.

If not, I'm not sure why you're still arguing. You asked for a way to hook it up, I told you there wasn't.

Indifferent Clox 01-21-2012 11:44 AM

Oh LOL. Thought you meant there was no phone hahahhaha.

The 2005 Doctor Who is more like fanfic, anyway.

Kane Knight 01-21-2012 11:47 AM

Except on the grounds that it's actually, you know...Good.

The Destroyer 01-21-2012 11:48 AM

Needs an injection of slash fiction.

About to start watching 'The Shield'. Is season 4 episode 7 a good place to start?

I can't see any problem with that.

The Rogerer 01-22-2012 03:32 PM

You can start watching Doctor Who at any point (of this new edition). The plot is a man traverses the entire universe (London and Cardiff) in a time machine (That can go back about 100 years) and fights stupid aliens with a magic screwdriver.

Indifferent Clox 01-22-2012 03:36 PM

Dudes I realize most shows you need to start at season 1. I thought doctor who was startable with any of the doctors. And the Guy at the store said he started with season six.

Pretty much any show is startable from pretty much any point. The ones that aren't are few and far between.

There. We're done.
