Raw Thread 23/01/12 - Get Fangel back into Wrestling
 

I have not actively watched a Raw in something like 5 years now and tonight I am looking to change that.

I will be tuning in when Raw is on and watching it while I post in this thread, Ill be asking questions to get myself refamiliazed with everything.

Can you help Fangel?

Zack Ryder and John Cena are the new Billy and Chuck

Kane is hiding behind doorways and spying on people

CM Punk is the best in the world

Raw is a Supershow that has Smackdown guys on it

Super Dave is the current GM with Teddy Long GMing it up on Smackdown, but comes out and makes matches on Raw now and again

Brodus Clay is the greatest thing ever for probably another 2 months before he gets stale to everyone

Sometimes tyres need to be changed and there will be segments highlighting this

Jericho is a mute

Foley wants to wrestle again

Bullying needs to stop through the B.A. * campaign

The Rock will not show up more than likely

Kofi urges you to not try anything anywhere

Michael Cole's commentary will probably put you off watching ever again

King is just as bad mind you

Mark Henry has another monster push and is still as monstrously boring as ever

Big Show cries a lot, literally

AJ is a diva who is injured because the Big Show walked into her, which stopped a match

You are very early for the 23rd February edition of RAW, but no time like the present.

It's also odd that it's going out on a Thursday. Must be a Candadian thing.

Well by Feb 23rd WWE will be doing their mega build towards WrestleMania...

-By that time the Undertaker should be back to build his streak to 20 and 0 at Mania.
-Randy Orton should be back in full swing.
-Rey Mysterio could possibly return from injury
-Triple H will be back so he has a spot at Mania.
-The Rock will be around from time to time to last minute promote his match against John Cena.
-Shawn Michaels is rumoured for a non-wrestling role at Mania.
-Christian should also be back from injury and will most likely have a good spot since he'll be inducting Edge into he Hall of Fame.
-Chris Jericho will hopefully be talking and wrestling by this time.
-Big Show versus Shaquille O'Neal should be building up
-Stone Cold usually comes back for his annual special guest refereee gig at Mania.
-Mick Foley is in the Rumble and could be at Mania.

So maybe you should just come back around Feb 23rd. Because if things are going to get interesting it will be then.

I'm up to July 1999 after starting after Wrestlemania 1997 and it is so glorious it hurts.

I have bad memories of the McMahon-Helmsley era though so we'll have to see how it holds up.

Were you really into it 5 years ago when you were watching? Or before that?

I was mostly into it from 1998-99 until about 2004 or 2005. The last thing I really remember from wrestling was Wrestlemania XX.

Hmm. I've wondered what it would be like to just now start watching wrestling with no real history to go off of. Or to watch it after not watching for a few years and pick it up with no idea about any storylines or characters.

If you were into it then, I think the novelty of everything being new to you should be enough to make you enjoy it. Plus things seem to be on an uprise. There's some good stuff going on.

He's a very awesome heel. So is The Miz.

We will see in an hour and a half how I think the current product is.

I think you will enjoy Heel Daniel Bryan. Be glad you haven't seen Face Bryan. He has had the amazing in ring ability but they actually now have direction for him. Heel Over-the-top Dick Daniel Bryan is entertaining as hell.

I don't know who you will or won't enjoy since I don't know what exactly you look for or what you liked before.

CM Punk is a good bet though. He's the current WWE champ and is kinda "the" guy right now. He also looks like a fry cook.
