Rate the Royal Rumble
On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate this year's Royal Rumble PPV?
1 is awful. 10 is fantastic. Also, you might want to explain why you voted the way you did. |
Easily a 6 it just wasn't that good.
|
I give it a 8, it was better than recent WWE PPVs and I liked how unpredictable the Rumble was.
|
It was pretty gay. 3 at best. Gay.
|
Gave it a 5, liked Booker/Cole/Road Dogg/Ricardo parts, thats it.

Plus Daniel Destor Bryan won a match. Then again, that's just the rumor that Destor is Daniel Bryan. I dunno if it's true. Destor, what wrestler are you???

Still the rumble match was pretty LAME. Had some legends but no Bushwhacker Luke. WTF?
|
Didnt really like it . A few nice bright spots with Kofi,Foley,Cody.
But I like when they fill the ring up, and it's sustained. The most was 8 maybe 9. And not even that long. I dont want announcers in a match that's suppose to decide who will main event at Mania. It was dumb, they shoulda put Brodus and Kane in there. Sheamus im ok with winning, I guess. I dont see any ratings bump because of it though. But the whole Y2J build up ..was for nothing basically. Hopefully he gets to feud with Punk. They follow the same formula every year too. 2 upper midcarders enter top 10..they last a long time. The rest of the upper card enters after #20. It'd be nice if they were more evenly spread out to make it more 'believable'. And more backstage interviews and less promos |

I'll give it an 8. The card wasn't spectacular but the rumble was very entertaining.
|
I voted seven because of solid undercard and I like Sheamus winning, but the Rumble lacked some of the usual excitement for me.
|
A 6. It was fun to watch but nothing great or super bad.
|
|
awesome rumble match but shit rest of the show, apart from punk/ziggler
|
the standards of some of you guys are next to impossible. 2s and 3s? ouch.
|
7.
Not necessarily the way I wanted it to go, but it definitely had its entertaining moments. Really my only disappointment is that I would have rather seen Kane come in instead of someone like the Uso kid. Have him continue his steak of consecutive rumbles and to kick some ass clearing the ring. I think it could have built him up even more as a monster and gain on the all time toss out mark. Have Cena come down and pull him out of the rumble and keep their fight going even though he wasn't in it. |
10 because I was there and Sheamus won.
|
I didnt enjoy all the announcers coming in tbh and after Cole entered i was shaking my head expecting JR to come out next, marked for Kharma and Ricardo though. Thought it was a decent show overall, even the Diva match wasnt terrible.
|
Ziggler v Punk stole the show. The Rumble didn't really further the storylines all that much despite being predicted to do so, but it was at least funny, so it gets a 7. Though 6.5 of that was for the WWE title match.

I gave it a 9. Solely due to the sock-off.
There was a drunk, gay guy sitting a couple rows behind me. He cheered every heel and boo'ed every face...even the divas. He was being a total douche too. I understand that you paid for your ticket and everything, but there are lil' kids all around you. Constantly yelling "Fuck you Cena" and shit like that is inappropriate. |
7. It was a very enjoyable Rumble, won't stand out as one of the top 5 but was very enjoyable. Cobra vs Socko was fantastic. Ricardo's entrance was a great fake-out. It almost seemed to me like they sort of shook their heads and said "okay, the Mania build this year is already on Cena vs Rock. The Rumble won't be the huge deal it often is... so let's have fun."
The non-Rumble matches were decent. The WHC match would have been way better if Show & Mizark weren't working hurt, but it gave Bryan a good rub. The Divas tag match was okay, and most of all it reminded people that Beth is around. I'm actually glad Brodus wrestled a match instead of being in the Rumble; it gave him a chance to get something done, and that way he didn't have to take an elimination. Punk vs Ziggler was obviously a great match, but they drew out the "MOGZ WIL PUNK GIT SCREWD" deal. I was hoping for some kind of face-to-face meeting with Johnny Ace and Animal, but oh well. The Rock/Cena promo packages were God awful. I'm interested to know what Sheamus's win means for Wrestlemania. Sheamus vs Bryan would be pretty good, but they may have something else in mind coming out of Elimination Chamber. A Sheamus vs Orton match for the title would be pretty bad-ass, or, if they'd like to crown him in the Chamber, they can have Sheamus take on Wade Barrett. Punk vs Jericho may still be on of course, but that doesn't have to be a title match. Would be great in any fashion. |
I voted a 5 for the actual Rumble itself but Kane/Cena and Punk/Ziggler were good.

Solid 7..nothing extraordinary but was entertaining for sure...

I have to chuckle at the folks who think WWE wasted spots on Ricardo, Hacksaw, Booker, King, Cole, Karma, Road Dogg or Foley... I understand you want you "serious wrestling PPV match" or what have you, but get real... Who else would have benefited from getting tossed out? Clay, Ryan, Ryback, Christian? It was a supremely booked match, and much different than any Rumble in history. If you found yourself getting upset at the surprise entrances and comedy spots then I'd say you also found yourself watching it alone. The booking and execution was hilarious, and moments were priceless. On top of all the great comedy bits, we had one of the more dramatic final two moments and several big surprise elimination's such as Orton, Ziggler, and The Miz. Not to mention WWE made a star rise in Sheamus, who was awesome in the match and especially with Jericho. Who would have thought they would have that kind of chemistry?

Rumble itself was great and loved the part of bringing back Hacksaw into the match considering he was the very first winner and this year was the 25th anniversary of the event. Punk vs Ziggler was great. The cage match was good and thought Big Show was going to chokeslam Bryan back into the cage. Cena vs Kane was ok but probably better done as a street fight style match. Only complaint was the vignettes were too long and could have just used the time better for an extra match or longer rumble (around 1 minute per entrant this year). |
I thought the vignettes were long too Smelly Meatball, afterwards I thought about it again and came to the conclusion that years down the road it will be cool to see the real beginning to The Road to Wrestlemania. /optimist
Also wanna give credit to the always injured Mark Henry. He may have lied on the ground over literally half the match, but he still did two or three good spots and did the match as advertised instead of pulling out for his "health". He knows what the fans really want. |
I gave it a 5. The Rumble match was fun though it didn't really setup much long-term at all. The ridiculously long Rock and Cena promos were... ridiculously long and ruined any flow. Started feeling like one long ad for WrestleMania.
The Kane, Cena, Ryder stuff wasn't anything special. A double count-out match, another Cena-Kane brawl that was pretty much what they were doing on Raw and Kane destorying Ryder again didn't really matter that much as he'd already been destroyed 6 days earlier. So he got "extra-super destroyed" now? Meh. Punk and Ziggler was good, the cage match ended pretty much how everyone thought it was going to end. But like I said, the Rumble was fun enough to make it an average show for me. 5 |
I gave it an 8 soley for the Rumble Match it's making me legit mark out(Kharma returning/Ricardo acting like Del Rio/Sheamus winning to name a few) and of course Punk vs. Ziggler was amazing as we all thought it would be.

Oh Goddd..at least Cena didn't win.
Good for Sheamus either way, but it surely helps being a shadow to Triple H to get a push |
