Good Ps1 Games.
I just bought my son a ps1 a few days ago, figured it would be a good, cheap first system for him. Picked up NFL Blitz, Tekken 2, and Destruction Derby 2.
Are there any other good games I should look into, and maybe even some games oriented toward children? |
Oddworld, It's rated T, but was a goodie.

Legend of the Dragoon is a good game. It has a T rating.

Megaman Legends Skullmonkeys Those are 3 excellent games but are a little expensive, even now. Cheaper but just as good for kids: Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3 Crash Team Racing Bugs and Taz: Time Busters Bishi Bashi Special Destruction Derby Micro Machines V3 Spider-Man Spider-Man 2 Megaman X5 (There are others but thats the only PS1 X I've played) Street Fighter Alpha 1, 2, 3. Not aimed at kids but suitable, if a little tough for younger kids: Constructor Theme Hospital Theme Park Theme Park World Populous: The Beginning Abe's Oddysy and Abes Exodus (more of a "teen" game because it can be a little "violent". Characters being ground up, shot etc.) WWF Attitude (Better for "teen". Blood, occasional swearing. Mankind calls his opponent a bastard when you put him in a submission, for example. Pretty sure it can all be turned off in the options menu.) That's all I can think of right now. |
That fact that no one has mentioned Suikoden 1 and 2 makes me sad.
