Great in the ring but his average mic work prevented him for being elite so an 8 it is.

Ron Simmons had it all, he is a legit bad ass. If he hadn't have been put in such a lame gimmick in WWF at first he may have been something a bit more special. It was better after the Nation and then the APA, but it was clear after that first gimmick that Vince never wanted him to be WWF champion.

Solid 7.

He's good. Damn Good. I give him an 8. First black World Heavyweight Champion in history. One of the only true greats of both football and wrestling. Usually wrestling gets the rejects from College Football but this guy was an All American.

7. good powerhouse wrestler, total badass as Ron Simmons.....but when it comes to Farooq I agree his first gimmick was so naff he will never be a threat like he was in WCW and will always be known as that fella from the Nation or the other half of APA.

I bet you any money the first word he said when WWE pitched him that gimmick was DAMN!

7.....

jskinnyg 02-03-2012 12:21 PM

DAMN... Solid 7... Would get higher if he had been given better gimmicks and was better on the mic, earlier in his career... APA was one of my all time favs...

mike adamle 02-03-2012 12:50 PM

Never thought he was THAT good, liked the APA though.
