what was the background to the Eddie & Doug Gilbert "monster" match?
 

I have a tape of Eddie Gilbert's best angles (more angles than matches as it happens), and on it there's the Freddy Vs Jason 2/3 Falls match he did with his brother in Japan. The one where they do the falls really fast then rip off their masks and start cussing out the promoters.

Anyone know the background to this?

They were upset at the way the booker at the time was..well...booking,
so they decided to do the whole shoot deal.

IIRC,Doug was booked to go over in that match,but instead he let
Eddie win,and then they did the whole promo deal...
