Wrestlemania 29 Location is....

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has announced a press conference at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ tomorrow to announce that WrestleMania 29 will take place there in April of 2013.

All the WrestleMania festivities will take place in New Jersey. The IZOD Center is expected to be the location of AXXESS and the Hall of Fame ceremony. There was talk before of holding those events in New York City, but New Jersey officials were able to convince WWE to hold those events in Jersey.

Well there's always hope for WM38 to come to Seattle again. Took em 19 years before :/

I heard they tried getting Cowboys Stadium. It just wouldnt work out . Dallas is hosting big events the next two years at cowboys stadium. There was no way they could work wrestlemania in there.

I know, I would've gone to that one. Not going to fucking Jersey.

So Toronto gets snubbed again but at least it's somewhere different for a change rather than one of the usual locations.

When they were in Detroit a few years back there was rain in forecast.

For all intent and purpose it's in New York, to be honest. Maybe 10 minutes away from Manhattan. So it's really not a new location.

It's not MSG though and despite it having such history there I'm suprised they haven't booked the event at a larger venue surely they could fill the place for such a huge event.

So...either WM30 won't be in MSG or they will be in NY/NJ area 2 years in a row.

Why does that surprise you? Given the amount of times the logistics/time difference issues have been discussed here, I'd thought you'd understand why they wouldn't.

I wonder if the WWE will make small fixes to the logo considering only New Jersey is hosting all the Mania related events and that logo was probably made when the original plan was for a split.

Should be quality. Looks like they're not afraid to do outdoor Manias on a regular basis now which I love. Just makes the spectacle greater. I'll get Miami out of the way first then look into this. There's always some cheap deals from the UK to New York City/New Jersey that time of year so should be pretty easy to organise.
