Rasslin’ Goes Mobile Next Week with WWE WrestleFest Returning after more than 20 years, the arcade classic WWF WrestleFest will be rechristened WWE Wrestlefest when it releases next Tuesday for all iOS devices. that's neat
I hope THQ folds!
I've been wanting to play the original again for like 15 years. Hopefully this doesn't disappoint
Probably no hope of an Android port. :(
I've been wanting this for ages.
Shame the art style sucks, but we'll see gameplay wise. I've got the original on MAME on my iPhone and it's basically unplayable for the button bashing bits. |
This was the best WWE arcade game ever made I hope it doesn't lose much in the conversion i'll definetly be checking it out.
I'll be getting this for my brand new iPad 2!

Ouch. |
Meh it'll probably cost an arm and a leg anyways. 2 is good enough.
More like it will cost the same as you paid for your iPad 2, which in turn will have reduced its price by then.

Looks pretty decent but the audio sounds horrible.
Would rather have a No Mercy 64 port.
needs more sgt. slaughter, demolition, earthquake, mr perfect etc...
Wow thats shitty. Could of been epic...
Loads of DLC to come I've just read.
I'm not sure what a lot of you were expecting. It looks alright apart from the art style, everything else seems fairly faithful. You'll probably need iCade or something to play it though if it supports it... I'm not mashing my screen. Really not sure why it's not XBLA/PSN though. |
looks like it plays like the old NES wrestling games...awesome
Downloading now, can't argue at £1.99... Although there's already a DLC pack available at 69p which I think is what all that locked shit in the video is... Meaning I have to pay for Punk.
Fuck me this is fun. After 20 years of playing the original whenever I saw it and still busting out MAME now and again, this is jizzworthy.
I bought the DLC after my first match and seeing the GTS in this style is awesome... Although I don't get why he has some sort of raised reverse neck lock as a submission finisher, was really hoping he'd bust out the anaconda. Gonna play this to death tonight after work. |
Mene Gene doing the post fight cutscenes like he did after completing Superstars.
Couple of gripes:
Even out of energy, it's easy to kick out of pins so you have to stand and wait for them to get up and put them in a sleeper if you don't have a ground submission. Sheamus has no Brogue Kick but has the peoples elbow. Really difficult to climb the top rope and do tag moves The weapons outside the ring don't knock people to the ground... Ever. EDIT: Saturday Night's Main Event tag mode is 3 matches long. There is the tag titles to go for in Road to Wrestlemania though. EDIT 2: Tiny one, no Picture In Picture of the wrestler coming to the ring in Royal Rumble. |

Too many kickouts.

It's coming to XBLA, PSN and Android too.

You're talking to the guy who bought an HD-DVD player 2 days after it was announced that it would no longer be supported.
I did do that with HD-DVD.
Best decision I ever made. £20 for the player with 3 movies and most movies are now £1 or even less for sparkling HD content . |
No 2-man pins and I just had a 4 way match at the Smackdown before Fatal Four Way and have a singles match at that event.
I wouldn't waste my money buying this shit, I'd rather save and buy the original arcade version of Wrestlefeast

OK, now the nostalgia has worn off, I've just realised it is wayyyyyyyyyy too easy. It's an arcade game, it should be unfair. Instead, the AI is retarded when it comes to reversals. They will reverse everything if you do the same thing more than 3 times but won't reverse anything before that.
So basically hit a grapple move, pick up by the hair and do another and then another, then thrown them against the ropes and hit them and do 3 grapple moves again. Hit the ground submission and you win any singles match within 30 seconds. Gonna need a better art style and to fix all my gripes if they want me to buy it on console as well. |
Should also have chiptine theme songs. That would be fucking awesome.
No commentary makes me sad.
Makes me happy. Very happy.
EDIT: I should clarify: Original commentary would be awesome. Michael Cole, not so much. |
That, and the lack of the original game music. Loved that :'(
