Recommend a game for me
 

Looking for something to play on the 360. I enjoy platformers, fighting games, and will pretty much try anything

Also looking for any games that you'd suggest to play with the girlfriend

I recomend Saints Row the Third if you want mindless co-op fun. I've played it through twice on co-op with a friend and did a straight 12 hour session with that same friend and we're still planning to go back when one of us gets around to downloading the new DLC.

As for fighting games, it depends what you want from it. Street Fighter X Tekken is looking very good, if you want to wait a couple weeks and pay full price. Characters from both games, 2 on 2 where you can co-op on the same team or have a team each. If not, buy SSFIV (or the AE version) for 1 on 1 or one of the MvC (2, 3, Ultimate 3) games if you want 3 on 3.
If it's 3D fighting you're after, I've no idea.

If you both like fighting and really want to co-op, I'd wait for SFxT at the start of March. It's co-op and its a fighting game.

If you can afford both, get SFxT and SRtT. SR should be a little cheaper now.

Long as you each have an XBox.
