Plus rep for giving me something to listen to for sleep tonight :y:

Attitude99 03-02-2012 05:39 PM

thanks, pretty interesting.

Corporate CockSnogger 03-02-2012 05:43 PM

Jesus wept, 5 hours? I'd probably think it was a bit long if it was more than 5 minutes. Not a chance I'll ever watch that.

James Steele 03-02-2012 05:49 PM

How old is this?

I've just gone through 4 and a bit.

After Russo left TNA the first time and just after he had been talking about going back to WWE, so 2006 I think?

#BROKEN Hasney 03-02-2012 07:09 PM

Anyway, it was pretty awesome. They both seem very honest and gives credit where it's due and I agree that first WCW Russo/Ferrera era was fantastic as well as all the WWE stuff before that.

Seems like Ed is just as much a filter for Russo as McMahon is, especially when you see the part on Crash TV in the last video.

Indifferent Clox 03-02-2012 07:39 PM

I hope Russo does go back to wwe. McMahon is the only one who can keep that guys shit gold.

Juan 03-02-2012 08:53 PM

Watched this a few weeks ago and it's quite interesting.

Kinda felt Russo was full of shit when he was trying to defend why they put the title on David Arquette tho

#1-norm-fan 03-02-2012 11:13 PM

I don't think he's full of shit per se. (Granted I haven't watched the video yet but I've heard him talk in detail about why he put the title on Arquette.) I thinks he believes he was justified in doing so to get people talking about WCW. And I think if you don't really care about wrestling being wrestling and not just an interchangeable form of entertainment with any other TV show, it makes sense. Unfortunately for him most of the people who are actually fans DO care and therefore it was a bat shit crazy idea.

Theo Dious 03-02-2012 11:37 PM

Anyone who would listen to these two assholes shoot for 5 hours should be shot.

#1-norm-fan 03-02-2012 11:41 PM

I don't see why you would be so against it. Even if they are both major pieces of shit, they are major pieces of recent wrestling history. Might be intriguing.

Mr. JL 03-03-2012 12:31 AM

I'm not going to waste 5 hour of my time watching this, however I will say that Ed Ferrara has been the only TNA commentator I did not dislike.

For five hours? That's punishment for shoplifting in some countries.

Seriously, I don't know too much about Ferrarra, but Russo is a self-serving, dishonest, out for himself liar who understands the business little if at all and has only gotten anywhere on the shoulders of people too stupid or selfish to do any better. Why anyone would devote 5 whole hours to listening to him is entirely beyond me.

Mr. Nerfect 03-04-2012 12:31 AM

I would honestly like to read some of Vince Russo's thoughts, just to try and pinpoint the dude's crazy, but I have no desire to really watch the whole thing. If anyone finds anything interesting, though, please post it.

James Steele 03-04-2012 04:50 AM

I can't take grown men seriously with those stupid sideburns.

MoFo 03-04-2012 11:08 AM

I like storys where Vince McMahon gets mad and his veins are bulging out his head, seems like every shoot has one of them storys

James Steele 03-04-2012 02:52 PM

I watched it and it is quite interesting, but some of the stuff is hilarious considering what happened after this was filmed. Ed Ferrara (who wrote for TV shows in L.A., which he mentions roughly 40 times) is such a great writer he can't keep a job writing wrestling and hasn't had another offer to write TV. He can write horror stories and be a college professor and Vince Russo hates wrestling so much that he continued to work in it for years.

James Steele 03-04-2012 02:58 PM

Also, Ed Ferrara looks like the lovechild of Edge and Kane Knight.

Rock Bottom 03-04-2012 08:35 PM

Interesting, turn this on and off at random boring/afk times. ty

Wehttam 03-04-2012 09:39 PM

there was a part in the 4th video where russo says something the effect of: "9/11. how are they going to top that?"

awesome

JimmyMess 03-04-2012 10:00 PM

I watched it at different times. Overall I really enjoyed it.
