Triple H returning full time to WWE (A-Train)

The Hip Hop Hippo, that is.

From PWInsider:

WWE has signed former WWF Intercontinental champion Matt Bloom, who worked for the company during the Attitude era as A-Train and Albert, to a new deal to return to the company.

Since leaving WWF in 2004, Bloom has been working fulltime for New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he was one half of one of the best teams in the world with Karl Anderson.

Bloom is slated to return in April as a heel.

Rock Bottom 03-17-2012 02:19 PM

Never had a problem with Albert. T&A was a pretty good gimmick.

That being said, I'm let down that it's not really Triple H...

Supreme Olajuwon 03-17-2012 02:23 PM

He's alright. I don't remember a crowd ever giving a shit about him, but he's better than a lot of other big guys.

Not fucking funny...at all. Fucking asshole.

Anyway, he is a good big-man wrestler and I think he'd be a good rivalry for The Funkasaurus.

Xero 03-17-2012 02:25 PM

Lesnar almost killed him.

Indifferent Clox 03-17-2012 02:26 PM

Hopefully this will inspire the damndest to return.

Also I hope they mention Johnny ace and giant Bernard's Japanese connection.

Pintint 03-17-2012 04:17 PM

AWESOME news, one of my fav WWE/WWF stars of all time.

Guy was awesome.

Hopefully they give him a good run, but they'll probably turn him into a joke character....

Nicky Fives 03-17-2012 04:54 PM

I really hope this is true..... He could have a decent run...... I haven't seen his stuff while in Japan, but I'm assuming he got better..... I wouldn't mind seeing him as the muscle for Daniel bryan instead of Laurinaitis....

Testicle 03-17-2012 05:03 PM

He's fatter and less muscular than he used to be. He is alright in the ring. The prob is as follows... In Japan he is significantly larger than the other wrestlers, so he gets to do the giant gimmick and he does it well. In the E he is not nearly the biggest guy on the roster and so he is stuck having to bump and shit. So basically this is doomed to fail again.

I got nothing against the guy, but I'm not really looking forward to this.

The X-factor theme is highly underrated.

How many guys in the WWE right now are over 6'0?

...yeah, but Jericho's entire gimmick was him messing with the internet fans.

DLVH84 03-17-2012 08:29 PM

Well, Karl Anderson has gone solo lately over in NJPW.

Zeeboe 03-17-2012 09:10 PM

Looking forward to it. He was a good one. I always find him entertaining. He was a good heel, and had the ideal look that heels should have.

Mr. Nerfect 03-17-2012 10:57 PM

I preferred Test when I started watching, but after transforming into A-Train, I could see why people digged the guy. He had size and was getting better all the time in the ring. Spending time in Japan would have helped him out a lot, and I'm sure he's got a few years in which to kick ass and leave some sort of legacy in the WWE.

I like the idea of him being Daniel Bryan's bodyguard, as opposed to him being Johnny Ace's.

Juan 03-17-2012 11:04 PM

Never really cared too much about the guy. Can't really recall watching a match of his that was really good. Some fun matches as part of T&A, but his singles runs were forgettable.

Skippord 03-17-2012 11:14 PM

I vaguely remember really enjoying the A-Train run

pretty much this. Unless he's developed some kind of personality/magnetism we never saw before or they're really determined to get him over, I don't see any kind of "huge run" out of him. Which is fine, he can play a role.

Captain of Fun 03-18-2012 12:51 AM

A-Train possibly coming back.

Fuck you, I don't have to link shit.

I am excited about this. He was already putting on pretty good matches for a guy his size, before he left. He's improved quite a bit, since then.

Juan 03-18-2012 01:01 AM

Captain of not paying attention

#BROKEN Hasney 03-18-2012 01:03 AM

To be fair, it didn't say A-Train until I added it in fear of next 20 topics that would be about this.

Captain of Fun 03-18-2012 02:13 AM

Yeah xero can go suck a fat cock, with his misleading thread titles.

A Train works for PG, but Prince Albert... they may not get it, and if they do, it may get kids to stick compass needles through, you know, that place from where they pee... *giggle cuz mom and dad said it's a BAD WORD!

I actualy liked this trio and theme, I bet WWE could reform them... unless Justin Credible dosent want to leave his job as shift manager at the Olive Garden

Seriously though I really liked Albert's work in NJPW as Bad Intentions with Karl Anderson. WWE should bring them both in as a tag team. They had some humorous matches with Muscle Orchestra.

Side note, Jon Strongman is one big roided up man-ape with average in ring ability at best... How is he not TNA World Champion?

Gertner 03-19-2012 08:46 PM

Friggen LOVE A-Train!

Ugh...

Never cared for him, thought he was boring in the ring and had no personality whatsoever.

Vince tried forcing him on us for how many years? And now we're in for another run...

whiteyford 03-20-2012 07:54 AM

Read hes improved alot over in Japan, not the worst thing they could in re-signing him.
