My all-time favorite intro.
The graphics were amazing for the time, and still hold up reasonably well today.
The voice acting is brilliant (no surprise there, considering the cast), and this really set the stage for game, established the mood, and gave you the motivation to play.

The Chrono Cross soundtrack is one of my favorite video game soundtracks, and the rumbling, driving music helps propel what is essentially a hodgepodge of cut-scenes into stirring music video.
I've always felt this was an excellent introduction into an epic tale, which all the while kept a humble, down-to-Earth undertone.

It's quite campy, and a bit cheesy in parts...and the music doesn't always feel as though it belongs with the footage.
However, it's for those reasons that I like it. It feels like it shouldn't work, but it still manages to pull off an exciting, action packed intro.
I love the part when Taki exorcises the demon samurai. :cool:

Metal Gear Solid because the intro was you playing the game with credits like it was a movie scene.

That's not Rammstein. The FFX intro is fantastic though.

Def. the first two

1.) Fallout 3 because ever since it's release, the intro has become one of the most memorable and epic intro cinematics of this console generation, from the start showing a close-up of a bombed out bus with "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" by The Ink Spots playing, to the narrator ending the scene with the iconic words, "War. War never changes."

2.) Borderlands because it introduces you to this whole new world, and once the driver leaves, you're introduced to CL4P-T4P for the first time and the reactions he has to everything as well as just the claptraps' general character and charisma and love of dancing set you up to know that the game is/was going to be fun as hell, despite the weak story. The CL4P-T4P's and the DLC Claptrap's Robot Robo-Lution definitely were some of the higher points in the original. Who knows how great they could be in the scene of Borderlands 2, due out in only about 5 months!

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW because of the narrator recalling the series' history in about 30 seconds or less, and then you get J.R., yelling "OH MY GOD, IT'S SMACKDOWN! VS. RAW! SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!", followed up by a 45 second or so gameplay highlight package, with Powerman 5000's Last Night on earth playing in the b/g.
