There's a guy from Killzone or Resistance. Forget which one. People have commented his specials or whatever SSB calls them look like Solid Snake's from SSBWhatever.

Parappa's also in, as is Fat Princess. I didn't look at the video Kal posted because it's probably the same one as the VG news thread, but it confirms some other guys.

Too bad Snake is already in Smash Brothers.

Katamari would be a funny thing to include.

IGN was touting this as some huge announcement. More like a huge disappointment. Just another Sony attempt to pander to the casual/wii fan base. I bet it will be move compatible and everything.

I guess I'm just bitter that the announcement wasn't KH3 or FF7-2 but whatever.

I did, but not after Square's recent efforts.

Could be interesting depending on the roster. Parappa is a good start, throw in the King of All Cosmos and we're getting there. Norman Jayden gets my vote too, just because I want to hear him shout out moves in that ridiculous accent.

Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter will probably show up.

The Killzone guy actually is Radec. Hmph, of all the characters in that game series, they choose him.

Spyro is the same as Crash. His rights were sold off too.

It's understandable to want Sony's former mascot in the game, though. I mean, we're talking what people want to see, not what people themselves could license.

Crash is owned by Universal Interactive, for the record.

I wonder if microsoft will try to clone SSB now, as well. Always wanted to see Master Chief stab Blinx in the face. With a brick.

God, Microsoft will have like two non gay space marine characters.

I actually tried to sit down and think about who MS could use if they cloned this...and they really don't have enough exclusive characters to pull it off, imo. It would simply require them using too many characters from the same few games, unfortunately.

This is more due to them being in the video game market for far less time than Sony and Nintendo at this point and not a slap to their characters. They just haven't really had the time to build a catalog of memorable characters. Kind of how most of Sonys characters aren't as memorable as the Nintendo ones.

I was trying to think of them. Kameo, or whatever the main character was called. 'Splosion Man/Ms. 'Splosion Man would be potentially interesting. Maybe Kain from Lost Odyssey or some of the other characters. I thought of the N3 series, but nobody stuck out.

I can't really remember most of the original XBox titles. I only had Crimson Skies and Hunter: The Reckoning. I don't know if the former would be doable/worth it and I doubt the latter would work much.

That and I remember who Blinx is. wouldn't mind him getting ganked.

I think I'm stretching even with the list I have because I'm not sure where those properties actually lie. These are the ones I can think of that were in some way a Microsoft/XBox exclusive.

I've often wondered if MS would have made it without Halo. I'm glad they made it though, someone needed to fill the gap left by the demise of Sega's hardware division. More competition is better for the consumer.

Microsoft was also a primary force in the whole "advent of western development" thing. Even if it started before them and they didn't necessarily do much directly, they had a huge part.

Unfortunately, that means every series ever is going to be rebooted as an FPS.

Sweet, I always wanted to play Baldur's Gate with guns.

Plus Diablo is gonna be a pushover with my BFG 9000.

Personally, I want to see Minesweeper as an FPS.

I think they have that on OoGhiJ MIQtxxXa, along with clam digger and The Legend of Solitaire.

Square Soft should get them to use Sephiroth or Cloud.

Potentially the majority of the game's entire roster, stages, and a few other things have been leaked from the beta going on for the game.

The roster is probably going to be in the low 20s (22 confirmed or leaked so far) with at least 14 stages expected based on rumors.

Crash Bandicoot is also being rumored as the new new character to be revealed soon from the same source who first leaked the existence of this project before Sony made it official.
