German wrestlers
I thought of this recently, and can only think of one (Alex Wright).
I'm sure there had to be others - what German wrestlers are around that wrestled for a big promotion like WWE/WCW? |
Ulf Hermann worked for ECW, had tryouts for Vince and is still doing the European "circuit" last I heard, they had a Turkish-German bloke tryout a few years back, Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters II was a wrestler at one point :o
|
Eric Schwarz started out in Canada and had a tryout with WWE during their tour of Germany in 2005 and Karsten Kretschmer had a tryout with TNA during their German tour in 2009.

I think we need to stop this thread and talk about how Vigo the fucking Carpathian was a wrestler. That is epic shit right there.
|
Here's some insight on his wrestling days...

So who invented the german suplex
|
That is always in debate, but I'm guessing either Frank or Karl Gotch.
|
By the way my Karsten Kretschmer comment wasn't to be a dick. I've legit, had a 'run-in' with KK, and don't like him one bit.

Otto Wanz was AWA champ - but technically he is Austrian. As I believe in the ways of old, he counts for German. And I think he spends most of his time in Germany.
