Ah, just posted this in the 100,001 replies, but you beat me to it. BRB. Gonna go edit it and give you credit CSL.

CSL 05-17-2012 04:45 PM

lol don't worry about it, I post random bits in there that become threads all the time, THE PAIN GOES AWAY EVENTUALLY

Ermaximus 05-17-2012 04:47 PM

What pain?

James Steele 05-17-2012 04:49 PM

Interesting. I wonder if it will run an hour later or just start an hour earlier. I hope they use this to give more time to matches and not just waste the first hour on promos and skits like they do for the 3 hour specials.

Ermaximus 05-17-2012 04:50 PM

I'm thinking they'll take the 8-9 time slot for this. I think NCIS is getting moved. While the thought of Raw being longer is great, I do agree with Steele that I hope this means longer matches rather than drawn out promos.

Maya Bristow 05-17-2012 04:50 PM

As long as WWE gives matches proper time & not just use the first hour or so on some Johnny Ace skits then I'm game

James Steele 05-17-2012 04:52 PM

For example, the Big Show segment from Monday went on WAY too long but it was still effective but could have been done in probably half the time.

Ermaximus 05-17-2012 04:52 PM

1,000th episode of Raw needs to have the Gimmick Battle Royal return. They need to feature 30 guys from raw's history in an over the top gimmick battle royale.

Immortal Moose 05-17-2012 04:52 PM

Longer Brodus Clay matches.

iMPACT is also going LIVE full time this summer.

It probably doesn't deserve it's own thread.

 Like that's even possible? I don't think the poor guy is capable of a match longer than 8 minutes.

#BROKEN Hasney 05-17-2012 04:56 PM

Almost as if it was on cue or something

They can make his entrance even longer and wheel out the fuckateers.

God help us all.

VSG 05-17-2012 05:04 PM

lol fuckateers

Lock Jaw 05-17-2012 05:18 PM

Some RAW 3-hour specials have been really good and used the third hour excellently... while others have been a complete waste of time.

Hopefully this just means that they will have more time to pack in more matches/superstars/angles rather than just hype packages/recaps/and guest stars.

good if they are going to bring in suprise wrestlers, like chavo and masters better they have live shows.

Droford 05-17-2012 05:41 PM

3 Hour Raws all the time will be like 3 hour nitros were.

Horrible

Corporate CockSnogger 05-17-2012 05:45 PM

Probably means I'll be watching less Raws personally. It annoys me enough as it is sitting through constant ads for 2 hours, nevermind 3 hours. I probably only watch less than half the Raws at the minute as it is. I know I can just watch them on youtube the next day or whatever but for some reason I don't tend to, and just read the results instead.

maby they will bring back the nitro girls and we will get the raw girls to entertain us.

Evil Vito 05-17-2012 05:49 PM

Yeah I dunno about this. I feel totally burned out at the end of 3 hour Raws most of the time.

Savio 05-17-2012 06:03 PM

to long

PrettyCool 05-17-2012 06:05 PM

This will let WWE use some of the guys they dont use and develop storylines for them like ke Curt Hawkins/Tyler Reks/Hunico etc, I think this will add a new layer of undercard storylines. Good idea :) !

BizarroKing 05-17-2012 06:11 PM

There's talk about adding a 'pre-show' at the beginning of Raw to hype up the show or recap last week's events. Maybe that's what the 1st of the 3 hours will be for.

McLegend 05-17-2012 06:12 PM

I don't know if I like this idea.

Ya I was also thinking that but the tapings are only increasing by 45 minutes for the pre-show. Let's see..

I see this happening. First hour being a hype "pre-show" type deal recapping what happened the week before and what storyline we might see play out that night. If its that I like it.

If it's not, it might be ok for a while but will flame out just like Nitro did back in the day

PrettyCool 05-17-2012 06:31 PM

Recaps would be bad, do not want.

Emperor Smeat 05-17-2012 06:31 PM

Mixed reactions for me.

The real benefit is the lower tier wrestles and tag team since they have more time to be on tv which was an issue at times during Supershow weeks in order for the big stars to have decent tv time.

The biggest issue is if a show is bad, its going to drag on for 3 hours or instead of more matches, its just more skits and promos.

WCW's problem when they got a 3rd hour for Nitro was due to them being unprepared for it and caring more about the extra ratings to beat RAW than improving quality in the long run. Ended up costing them millions in lost revenue and additional costs.

Nicky Fives 05-17-2012 06:49 PM

In theory and on paper, this is a goos thing, but in reality, the extra time will be given to the people that the fans are already tired of seeing, and not to the guys who deserve it.....

MoFo 05-17-2012 06:58 PM

Too much wrestling

Xero 05-17-2012 07:45 PM

Not a good idea, quite honestly. More filler. They don't maximize the time they have now. SmackDown! is at least 20 minutes of recaps, and so is RAW some weeks. They have all the time they realistically need to get their talents exposed, they just don't use it effectively enough.

Now, if this means longer matches on TV and more of the lowercard getting TV time, that's awesome. But I doubt that's what it'll mean.

Innovator 05-17-2012 07:54 PM

I got a bad feeling about this.

Cool King 05-17-2012 08:17 PM
