MLB 12: The Show
 

I'm thoroughly addicted to this game. I have two Rtts's going. My pitcher was so good, he.got called up to Triple A, but then got sent down like a few days later. My batter keeps, missing his goals, by one goal. I don't know if that plays a big part of getting called up or not. I haven't made it to Triple a with him yet. I went through a really shitty slump where I was like 1 for 26 . Screwed me out of the one goal I needed.

Anyone else playing? How long until your player got called up to the big leagues? My batter plays for the Mets organization. My pitcher, for the White Sox.

Have you tried Diamond Dynasty mode? I really fell in love with that. It's an online only mode and you create a team, buy baseball card packs, keep players from pack for X amount of games, earn to points to either upgrade your players or buy more packs etc.

I played a franchise mode with the Cubs and got offered Tulowitki for Dempster and Anthony Rizzo. Accepted. Moved Castro to third.

When I had a PS2 I would always do RTTS as Jack Bauer, a closer.

Just bought it a few days ago actually. Fucking as close to real life baseball as you can get.

Couple things I either don't like or can't figure out. Id like to see my career stats and milestones in rtts.

<font color=goldenrod>I had 09, 10, and 11 and while they were all great games, there really weren't too many big improvements between them. Decided to give it a skip this year. They had promised some major revamps to the franchise mode, but then when MLB announced the schedule changes for next year with the Astros switching leagues they bumped the changes back cause they had to re-work everything.

Diamond Dynasty looks fun but I think I can wait until next year to try it rather than shell out another $60 when MLB 11 suits me just fine still.</font>

<font color=goldenrod>Also in RTTS I've only been able to make it to the big leagues as a pitcher. Every time I try to make it as a position player I wind up never getting promoted despite meeting my goals.</font>

Diamond Dynasty is fun, but hard as hell. I can't hit a home run for shit. Other than that, there's really been no other improvements.

Online is completely fucked. There's a timing lag between pushing the buttons and it coming up on screen. Also wish you could import your RTTS player to the next game so that you don't have to start all over again.

I love Diamond Dynasty..... so much fun..... I only play the CPU, but on the higher difficulties, it's hard enough for me.....

Playing DD online is a blast. I'm the the Tijuana Golden Sombreros and I've got my logo looking like a legit mexican team.

Haven't played in over a month though.

I'm currently half way through the season in AAA league. Batting over .300 and a few home runs. No call up yet. Got traded to the Athletics system. Hope I get invited to training camp next season.

I'm the Vermont Americans.... there was no "Canada" option, so I went with what's closest to me..... my logo is simply the word Vermont spelled out with 4 stars above and below the world..... I'm not very creative......

I got an invite to Training Camp with the Twins, made the team, but I'm on the bench.

What position are you? Do you sim the fielding plays and just hit?

Don't have a PS3, so I'm still playing 10 & 11. RF for the Tigers in one, SP for the Giants in the other.

Center field. I don't sim the plays. Not sure what I can sim.

The Tigers are crazy good. They are currently 79-29 in my season. I have 2 hr's. One came off Derek Holland of the Rangers, who in 2015, was 14-1 with a 2.87 era. He pitched to me......GONE!

Nice. I used to hit in front of Cabrera, but outta nowhere they switched him with a rookie who K's so much.

Thedude is good, but I was guaranteed good pitches when Cabrera followed me

I just started a RTTS as a SP..... 4 games 4 ER, 33IP, 29K, 33H.....I had no energy left in 2 of my starts after the 7th, yet manager refused to pull me as it was still scoreless.... gave up all 4 ER in 8th inning in 2 separate games....

I had the opposite problem: got pulled in the 8th when we were winning 4-0. I was throwing a perfect game.

I just lost a Diamond Dynasty game 15-4 on easy mode to Arizona with the following lineup

Walker-Andrus-Mauer-Carlos Lee-Ordonez-Ryan Roberts-Thames-Ben Francisco with Ubaldo Jimenez pitching.....

So I'm trophy whoring this game now. I tried King Slayer, where you have to beat the number one ranked team in exhibition with batting and pitcHing on Legendary. That team was the Yankees. I wasnt too bad at pitching, but batting... Well, Sabathia pitched a perfect game and had 18 strike outs.

Yahhhh..

I can't get the one where you have to hit a ball off the aquariums behind the plate in Miami..... I never even come close to fouling balls off there.....

Got that one rather easy.

I just got Squeezeball last week..... Shin-Soo Choo......and if I remember right, my Golden Sombrero was on Asdrubel Cabrera

<font color=goldenrod>I'm still playing my fantasy drafted franchise in MLB 11. Honestly I go several weeks in between Show sessions at this point, usually ending with me turning the game off having felt like I wasted my time. The game just feels so scripted at times. The producers of the game and the series fanboys swear that comeback AI is not in the game, but it pretty clearly is. It's annoying to spend close to an hour per game when you rarely feel like you're in control over what's going on.

Probably going to play the demo next year before actually deciding on buying. It's a beautiful looking game but I really don't want to spend $60 if the AI is just going to piss me off.</font>

Traded this. Everyone started using RA Dickey online and it got too annoying.

my goal is to get every card in Diamond Dynasty.....

This is especially true in Road to the Show.

I have every game in this series except 09 (and 12 cause I don't have PS3 yet), btw, so I guess I'm kind of "series fanboy" admitting that. It's unreal how you can hardly hold a lead ever unless you're up by 7 and even then they'll still score 3-4 more runs in the 8th/9th.

Just threw a no-no in DD. Threw a couple of 1 hitters before and took a perfect into the 8th. This one would have been perfect too but there was an overthrow from the SS. 18 SO.


My rating is in the high 1600's right now I think yet my rank is in the 600's. I've been winning a lot of games with a "rag-tag" group of bronze players mixed with a few decent pros and I've been stockpiling silver players, a few golds, and a nice mix of good MLB players so I should only get better.

Threw the no-no with "Gustavo Fring", a bald brown skinned glasses wearing curveballer who wears "crystal meth blue" cleats and gloves.

Dude was mad because I didn't throw strikes down the middle every single time

lol..... I've had a 2 hitter in DD before, that was the closest I get..... I stopped using the game players and use only the MLB players and try to get some collections to get more $$$$
