The MIZ
Give the miz back the WWE TITLE he can save the wwe
:nono: /thread (again)
I'm sorry, I'll put my proper response in a spoiler so it doesn't take up too much room.
SPOILER: show |
I'd quite like a lengthy Punk v Miz feud.
Miz should be in a higher spot. He's the goods and is still consistently entertaining on TV. More so than spotlight hogs like Laurinaitis, anyway.

I like the Miz's character also. I don't see why such a lengthy build up only to demote his character. Trying to think what else was going on at the time that required the miz to have such a long reign. But can't think of anything
Miz vs punk
Miz vs daniel Bryan Miz vs Jericho Feuds I would like to see doesn't matter who is face or heel |
He's another victim of the Money in the Bank, given the title too early thing. He peaked too soon and WWE's creative team sucks and multitasking. Once you're not THE main event or close to it, you're gonna find it hard to survive the shitty writers' ADD. They can only book a handful of people at a time.
yes I agree. We saw the same happen to Morrison. Never even got the title. Just the build up.

If Morrison could've rallied the crowd behind him he could've been a main event player right now. But this is the area that The Miz had him beaten in hands down, and that's why Morrison is the Jannetty to Miz's HBK. I hope Morrison finds his "spark" and comes back with it. I loved him as the heel Johnny Nitro character he played during his start and his run as MNM. But as a face he was just fucking horrible. |
John Morrison > Johnny Nitro
Yeah, loved John Morrison. Highly underrated.
I still think they missed an opportunity by not having The Miz suck up to Daniel Bryan and basically be his Virgil during Bryan's title reign.
Honestly, I preferred another Miz vs. Cena feud than a Show vs. Cena feud. Miz and Cena had a good thing going, and now that Miz ain't champion, why not let him beat Cena again to boost a good storyline and his status?
Because Cena shouldn't be losing to The Miz. He should be winning matches so that on the rare occasion someone does actually beat him, it means something.
Haha, which thread are we in right now?
That's the beauty of it! Cena shouldn't be losing to the Miz, but does (via other Cena enemies), and Miz makes it seem like the biggest accomplishment of his life.

Yeah, cuz he's annoying enough to keep a top heel status. When they have one more thing to brag about being big-time shit, though on all those occasions, people helped them, the fans can't stand hm. But seriously, I'm only saying I'd rather see more in a feud with Cena and the Miz than with Show. I prefer somebody new to step up to the plate.
I agree.
Show versus Cena might have a bigger feel to it, but Miz versus Cena would be better as a whole. Better, more entertaining matches (given they let Miz get some strong offense and Cena sells it), and Miz as John Laurinaitis' golden boy would be excellent. Show is slow and plodding, both in the ring and on the mic. Miz is the opposite. |
Miz as Big Johnny's ace would have been so easy to do after Wrestlemania, too. Can't believe they just dropped it. He fought his ass off to even make it to the Wrestlemania card, made it, got the pinfall for Johnny...and then went back into obscurity. I wonder what the story was there.
Think he was just lost in the shuffle
If they want to make him relevant again he should form a stable dare I say even reform the Nexus and try to do what Punk and Barrett couldn't.
Forming a stable would be cool.
Also, winning matches consistently is a good idea if you want to make someone relevant. |
Swagger/Miz = The 2 biggest drop off's after being champion ever?
Bob Backlund is the real answer.
Yeah, Backlund's was pretty brutal. I really enjoyed his character during that era, but his matches put me to sleep. It was always a dilemma when it came to having Backlund on TV.
Other than his presidential shit I have no memory of Backlund :(
My point exactly.
Remember when he played chess with Jonathon Taylor Thomas at Wrestlemania 11?
The Miz is the luckiest guy ever.
I guess he's dating Maryse irl. |

Agree to disagree

The Miz in the Conspiracy angle was the best I've seen of him outside of his Wrestlemania win.
I would not at all be opposed to seeing The Miz turn face in the future. Yeah, his personality seems like he's perfectly fitted to playing the annoying douche, but the dude is so good at the promotional aspects and all that. I don't really see the benefit to keeping Miz as a heel at the moment, really.
Let the heart grow fonder, and have The Miz make a big comeback for the end of summer and the fall season in the WWE. He needs a heel that he can tell an awesome story with, and I can't think of too many people that could do better jobs than Chris Jericho or Daniel Bryan. To turn Miz face, all you need to do is have him come out on RAW or something and say "It's unacceptable that I am not a bigger part of this show," and then explain to us how hard he had to work to even be allowed into the locker-room. The Miz says that he is staying in the ring until his issues are addressed. Cue Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks coming out, as Miz looks confused. Hawkins & Reks can say that The Miz got his spot in the main event of WrestleMania, whereas they have never gotten a shot. They circle the ring and say they'll get it now against The Miz. A two-on-one beat-down ensues, although The Miz puts up one hell of a fight against them. The next week, Hawkins & Reks are pitted against The Miz and a partner of his choosing. Reks & Hawkins come out for the match and mock The Miz for being so hated, and they predict that he couldn't even find one person in the back that would team with him. The Miz comes out and says that they're right -- no one does want to team with him -- but he'll fight them anyway! The Miz then proceeds to wrestle a Handicap Match against Reks & Hawkins, and fights valiantly, but loses. It helps Reks & Hawkins by getting them on TV for at least two weeks, and gives them a win over a former WWE Champion (albeit with a heel advantage), and it can start The Miz's movement towards sympathy and favourable perception with audiences. |
Alternatively, I'm also not opposed to The Miz returning leading a faction of "Forgotten" Superstars against the WWE. Miz was so good in his "Conspiracy" role last year. You can bring him back with guys like Ted DiBiase and Trent Barreta at his side when DiBiase is mended. Dare I say, you could even mend the Miz/Alex Riley friendship and have Riley join Miz's crusade. Heath Slater could join after feeling disrespected by the legends and such. Michael McGillicutty could also be put in there. I think it would make for an entertaining development, at the very least. Or fuck it, just have Reks & Hawkins join The Miz. I love Reks & Hawkins, but for some reason something with them just doesn't "click." Having someone as comfortable out there as The Miz by their side could really help them.
So my path for Miz would either be renegade babyface who embraces being despised by the WWE locker-room because he's such a good promotional dude, or as a heel leader of some sort. I'm wondering if the heel leader thing might be the best way to go for the moment. The only problem with heel Miz is that he just feels "there." Giving him something to do would help. Have The Miz come out and demand to be added to the WWE Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match and then at the PPV Reks & Hawkins run out and help The Miz out randomly during the match and The Miz pulls down the briefcase. A new faction is born -- one that refuses to go ignored any longer, or wait for their shots -- one that is just going to cease the company by the neck. The Miz can stick his nose into developing issues between CM Punk and John Cena, and claim to be the true face of the WWE, and let them wage their war while he stands on the side with the briefcase, letting both know that no matter what happens -- they lose. |
Given that the Raw MitB match is for former champs only, I clearly see a Miz return for this. A MitB with 4 guys is far less entertaining and even more so predictable.
