Vince's Farewell to Randy Savage.

I saw this the other day and if you look at vince as he talks i think his face says it all . Vince was hurt by randy leaving. This makes me believe the steph stuff is bullshit. Thoughts?

itsmeJD 07-03-2012 03:32 PM

Maybe his face is saying he was hurt that Randy ground and pounded Stephanie, therefore causing his departure. Honestly, I can't even view the video, but decided to provide a counterpoint because it's slow at work.

Yeah, the Stephanie rumor is complete bullshit. Vince was pissed that Randy took the Slim Jim sponsorship with him to WCW.

Randy Savage just doesn't seem like a guy who would do such a thing.

But then again, he had a relationship with that "Gorgeous George" bimbo, which shows he was kinda into young girls, so who knows.

But I doubt it.

From this interview in 2000, it sounded like Randy Savage really did want to go back to the WWE at this point in his career. Even though he wasn't as agile by this point, he was still completely jacked. As far as the "Stephanie Rumor" Sean Waltman (you know, the most reliable course ever) said that Steph was an 18 year old wild child at that point in her life. He said it was a huge party, there was all kinda booze and drugs involved, and Steph just kinda ended up having sex with him.

Back in 2000, WWF was still against having older guys wrestling. It wasn't until 2001 when they bought WCW that their position on the subject changed.

Too bad.

Regardless of what happened, Macho Man was and will continue to be missed.

Keith 07-03-2012 04:40 PM

Hearing Macho Man speak, it appears that the position Jerry Lawler has held for over a decade, was actually supposed to be Savage's.

So who knows what would've happened had Randy agreed to stay and do color commentary?

Jerry Lawler most likely would've been long gone from WWE. Hell, I wonder if he'd even be in the HOF right now.

The sign behind him says DTTS.

Actually guys, Slim Jim was already moving to WCW because at the time WCW had better ratings. Randy wanted to stick by them so he went there too.

RiX1024 07-04-2012 04:10 PM

I think McMahon was well gutted that he lost another valuable big name to a rival company and taking the Slim Jim deal with him, or the video shows that he's just being polite.
