Ermaximus Presents: Raw Thread for 07/09/12. Yes Men, Mystery GM's, and Heath Slater eats a Chicken Wing!

Raw is in Denver. Bob Backlund is in Denver. You do the math. Also, bonus points if you spot Skippord or Davebrawl on tv.

Kapoutman 07-09-2012 03:07 PM

Bob Backlund could simply be there to manage the Sultan. It could be.

Ermaximus 07-09-2012 03:12 PM

Maybe it'll actually be Iron Shiek and he can give Heath Slater the "old country way."

Innovator 07-09-2012 03:20 PM

Step Test on RAW?

taker707 07-09-2012 03:23 PM

Ill be their live 4th row right on the ramp. leaving pretty soon for Denver.

Curtis Anderson 07-09-2012 03:38 PM

I hope that Brodus Clay takes revenge for the punch Big Show gave to him. Do you think they will name more participants for the WWE Championship Money in the Bank match? With the match being only for former champions, maybe Backlund is in Denver to announce his participation, as a legend to promote the 1000th episode of Raw.

Iron Sheik was The Sultan's manager, not Bob Backlund. Bob Backlund did manage Kurt Angle for a short time in the late 90's.

Miz and Mysterio are possibilities, but I don't see either one being added to the match.

I fail to see what the RAW thread has to do with protesting public breastfeeding and going down to the nudie bar.

Lock Jaw 07-09-2012 04:34 PM

Is this thread Bob Backlund Authorized?

Why don't you ask him for us Mr. GM for the night.

Big Vic 07-09-2012 04:47 PM

Ooooo is Lock jaw GM again?

Ermaximus 07-09-2012 04:55 PM

Well, they have Ryder as GM of SD this week, but didn't announce who the Raw GM is. Vickie, Teddy, and Foley have all done their week as GM, so that doesn't leave a ton of options open unless they get Adamle, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, or Flair for the night.

Innovator 07-09-2012 04:57 PM

or some guy named Heyman.

Lock Jaw 07-09-2012 04:58 PM

;)

Bob Backlund and The Iron Sheik both managed The Sultan.

Are you doing a "'know-it-all' who constantly gets it wrong" gimmick? Is that it?

Foley is technically a possibility too if they felt like they hadn't worn out the "Foley going for one last hoo-rah" thing enough.

But I doubt they're going to add anyone. They've made the match seem pretty much set at 4 guys.

XCaliber 07-09-2012 06:13 PM

Hope they plan on adding more too the RAW MITB as well it seems kind of lopsided with SD's which currently has 7 and will likely end up having an 8th in Wade Barrett but regardless the result will be the same.

SPOILER: show
Cena wins! :|

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2012 06:15 PM

Cody is already in it. He qualified on Smackdown.

I'm still think Wade Barrett returns this week on Smackdown to take the 8th spot.

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2012 06:18 PM

As for the GM, we may be over-thinking it and they'll just go through Raw without mentioning anything about a GM. There's only so many past GMs that can come back and run shows for a week. Just ignoring it tonight and having Ryder on Smackdown stretches it out another week without having to use any of the past GMs.

Poit 07-09-2012 06:29 PM

They could always use someone who was GM for a night, like Orton or Jericho.

Isn't that what I said? :shifty:

#1-norm-fan 07-09-2012 06:34 PM

Hmm. Who else has been a one night Raw GM?

Maven was.

It sounds like you're saying there are currently 7 and Cody will likely be the 8th.

Cody is already in the 7.

Scott Roberts 07-09-2012 06:38 PM

Gonna make my signature Crossface Chicken Wings for dinner tonight in honor of Backlund possibly coming back.

Volare 07-09-2012 06:43 PM

Let's get this started right.

Corndad 07-09-2012 06:50 PM

They should have AJ be the one to beat Slater up tonight.

ClockShot 07-09-2012 07:28 PM

It's been a while since WWE was back in Denver. I'm just curious of what reception they'll get.

Flash Funk 07-09-2012 07:32 PM

It will clearly be Lock Jaw aka the computer as GM tonight.

This isn't the first time since the "incident" is it?

Wait, what?

Lock Jaw 07-09-2012 07:44 PM

I was the Anonymous Raw General Manager.

Scott Roberts 07-09-2012 07:48 PM

Do you work for WWE?

Scott Roberts 07-09-2012 07:48 PM

Probably aren't even allowed to answer my question anyways.

Volare 07-09-2012 08:21 PM

He is all knowing...just trust him.

Gonzo 07-09-2012 08:21 PM

Shh, it has to be kept a secret.
