Screams Duke Nukem
Duke Nukem meets Devil May Cry.
It's a Deadpool game, so I want to like it, but seriously, that was the most retarded thign I've seen since Kal's last post.
So it's great then?
lol
Instant buy.
Suck it, Wolverine.
Can't wait for this and the studio making this are apparently pretty good from what I heard, so here's to an awesome game!
I will own you, videogame
Hmm, could be good. But equally could be terrible.
Same devs behind the last few Transformer games. |
War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are awesome. Dark of the Moon was admittingly a requisite shit job for the movie's campaign. Those guys are legit.
Oh god, they did War for Cybertron? One hell of a lot less pumped now.
Kinda siding with KK on this.
Feel like the writing for deadpool is something that works primarily on the page, and it's difficult to capture the charm of it in a movie or game. Dunno, trailer just kinda made me cringe a bit. |
Deadpool comes off more as a twat in the trailer.
Hasn't been officially confirmed but people are saying a Wii U version was accidentally announced during the Q&A segment at Comic Con.
Marvel's live blog of the entire event also supposedly leaked it as well. http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=181359 |
With the Pro Controller, I imagine we'll return to the days of three ports for most releases. No more two ports and some dumbed down waggle version.
its being written by the guys that do the comic book right now
DEADPOOL TAKES OF HIS MASK OMG?!?!
Admittedly that was a terrible post.

Looks like it will be great.
I dunno. I think it looks legitimately terrible.
I need to see actual gameplay. I like North back as the voice, and the tone is right on. I need to see what the gameplay is, especially if it's an action game effort from High Moon.

I suppose I should have expected that.
That was pretty terrible tbh.
Pretty much. If their budget for the game has stretched into 4 figures, they've overspent.
I will give them a pardon here and consider it an april fool's prank.

Started playing this tonight. K so I watched the launch trailer from a couple of days ago, and cringed my way through it. Hated the voice acting, and it seemed like it was trying way too hard to be as zany as possible.
Now, having played the game, happy to say that doesn't seem to be the case. Actually found myself legitimately lol'ing at points. I've only played for about an hour and a half, but yeah seems good. Gameplay itself is fine. Largely what was expected, just a pretty standard hack and slash. The controls felt a little unwieldy at first, but that may be because I haven't played a game like this in a while (IE I've never played any Devil May Cry). Anyways, you get used to it quickly. Seems like they're taking advantage of the medium. Deadpool is definitely doing his whole tweaking tropes thing to videogames. Not gonna set the world on fire or anything, but yeah, fun stuff so far. |
So it's an action game of sorts in the vein of DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Metal Gear Rising, etc? Because NONE of the trailers made that clear. I had a feeling it would naturally head to that style dealing with a guy who uses guns and sword. I would have to put the game through its paces since that kind of game is up my alley.
Getting it later today.
I have a friend who's getting it, so I'll be playing this soon. It's win-win. If it's good, I didn't even have to buy it. If it's bad...I didn't even have to buy it.
Humour in the trailers looks ridiculously forced most of the time. I've been told this is fairly similar to the modern comics, though. |
All the trailers show him being fairly consistent with his mainstream appearances in Hulk vs Wolverine, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I simply do not know who this more 'subtle satire' Deadpool is that people think they'll get whenever I hear about him being overly zany. It seems he's been like this whenever he gets the spotlight. But whatever.
"Subtle" is a bit relative here.
True, he's always been zany but Daniel Way writes him with way more focused on humor/silly jokes than the more serious side of him-
