How is the best album of 2012 not being talked about?

There's a bonus track on the deluxe edition called Blue Dahlia, and it's better than anything else on the album. And it's just a goddamned bonus track.

Mae is probably my favorite Gaslight song ever. Love that song so much.

I've got it now. I thought American Slang was a bit boring if I'm honest, moreso after I saw them live a couple of times and none of the tunes stood up to anything from The '59 Sound. So hopefully this is a nice return to form. Early listens suggest the vocalist has toned up the Springsteen style which is only ever a good thing in my opinion.

The Menzingers - On the Impossible Past is the best album of 2012. HANDS DOWN.

I think Brian Fallon might be the best singer in rock right now. He's got surprising range and can just howl when it's called for. Love it.

Got tickets to go see 2 of their shows when they come here, and possibly going to a festival that their playing too. I hear their doing a secret set at the festival, which means they'll play mainly rarities and hopefully Brian'll do some Horrible Crowes.

I don't think this album is very good, sorry guys. Not very interesting.

I liked 59 Sound and American Slang better. It's still good though.

59 sound was a classic. American Slang doesn't even come close to this album.
