Brooklyn! Brooklyn! [The official JTG appreciation thread]

As a young kid growing up in the projects, Jayson Anthony Paul had one dream and that dream was to become the WWE Champion. After making his presence felt in the independent scene and winning numerous heavyweight straps, JTG set foot in the WWE. Along with Shad Gaspard, JTG would form one of the most amazing tag-team in wrestling history. Their popularity was second to none.

After rejecting an idea to form a stable with WWE icon John Cena, JTG would go on to disband arguably the greatest tag team of our generation and move on to singles competition. JTG dominated flagship WWE shows such as Superstars and NXT.

According to wrestling experts and the IWC, Cryme Tyme not winning the World Tag Team titles was a bigger travesty than Ted DiBiase and Roddy Pipper not winning the WWF Heavyweight title.

After almost six years of domination in the WWE, JTG deserves an appreciation thread on TPWW. A future hall of famer and the future of sports-entertainment, I urge each and all to follow him on twitter and get his inside.

Feel free to post your opinion on the most flyest superstar in the WWE

JTG is the goods. He's great on the mic and he can get it done in the ring. Unfortunately WWE's writers are retarded and can't handle the work of booking more than 6 guys at a time.

Keith 08-07-2012 09:08 PM

I can't believe I'm listening to this WRZONLINE Broadcast right now.

You got me, Ryan Clark. Curiosity got the best of me.

#1-norm-fan 08-07-2012 09:08 PM

Also, I miss Cryme Tyme.

... and just because they reminded me of the mid-late 2000s tag division, I also miss Deuce 'n' Domino.

Lock Jaw 08-07-2012 09:32 PM

Wish I could find the gif of JTG selling Santino's Cobra. Is brilliant.

Can't even hook his leg for the pin.

His best stuff was with Cryme Tyme but got ignored once they split and the WWE tried to focus just on Shad which ended up failing pretty badly overall.

GD 08-07-2012 09:42 PM

He was clearly the Shawn Michaels of the group.

Keith 08-07-2012 09:44 PM

Shad Gaspard was the Stevie Ray of the group.

This hurt me a lot. They were such great heels.

I'm from Brooklyn and his gimmick sucks, he might be a cool dude, who knows. Never liked Cryme Time.

He sucks awesomeness.

dronepool 08-07-2012 10:15 PM

Maybe if they change his character, but right now his gimmick is ultra generic.

GD 08-07-2012 10:20 PM

Ultra generically awesome.

I miss fun segments like this. Genuinely just a fun comedy segment and not the campy, cringeworthy shit they try to pull off now.

dingdongyo 08-07-2012 11:16 PM

jtg could be the badass that r-truth is too much of a fucking clown to pull off.

Heisenberg 08-07-2012 11:29 PM

I hope his message is heard, instead of releasing his ass. Motherfucker is overdue.

DLVH84 08-07-2012 11:30 PM

I don't blame JTG for having enough of being treated badly. It was only a matter of time before someone snaps.

stultiloquy 08-07-2012 11:40 PM

Meh.
Always thought he was annoying as hell.

Shadrick 08-08-2012 08:21 AM

He rejected an idea to form a stable with Cena?

#1-norm-fan 08-08-2012 09:30 AM

Autobahn 08-08-2012 10:21 AM

Loved Cryme Tyme. Great tag team. Hope they do something with jtg but im not holding my breath

Keith 08-08-2012 11:10 AM

I heard last night that WWE doesn't pay for "middle of the card" wrestlers' travel, hotel and rental cars, that they only do so for the "big stars", the "main eventers"?

bigslimjj 08-08-2012 12:47 PM

Time to go to TNA and get misused there.

Ultra Mantis 08-08-2012 03:20 PM

JTG is a pretty good jobber, would much rather have him on TV than Heath Slater.
