XPW Is Coming Back....with Ric Flair

saw this posted on another board and was dumb founded.

just when you thought Flair couldn't sink any lower....

http://www.adultcybermart.com/adultfyi/?p=1282

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

The Ric Flair train’s ready to arrive at Porno Junction. At least that’s the prevailing rumor right now in wrestling circles.

No, it’s got nothing to do with ex Dolphin/Bengal free spirit Chad Johnson saying he might consider doing porn, or Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson stating that he’d never consider having sex on camera. It’s all about Flair being a pro wrestler and pro wrestlers, like musicians, are always looking for their next gig.

And should The Nature Boy wind up with Rob Black, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.

But didn’t Black and his outfit XPW part company years ago? Yes they did. Rob as you know had that little problem with a federal obscenity indictment, but before the G-Men showed up in North Hollywood one April morning, Black was at the point when he had some pretty big names on his Saturday night cards at the Olympic Auditorium. Like Sabu, New Jack and Shane Douglas.

I think Terry Funk was even involved there for awhile. If memory also serves correct Xtreme Entertainment Group wound up purchasing the XPW name and Black’s former general manager at Extreme Associates, Kevin Kleinrock was made Vice President.

Those owners having failed to do anything with the XPW name, Black bought back his baby. And now Black will re-launch the brand using the Internet particularly Roku as his delivery platform. The Roku channel from what I’m hearing will be called “Attitude”.

This is where Flair comes in because part of the re-launch will consist of a Royal Rumble spectacular scheduled for, as yet, an unspecified venue. It’ll feature the XPW old guard and some surprises. Flair’s name dropped in the hat is enough of a surprise, already.

Stay tuned.

The fed my uncle ran in his garage that the wrestlers would constantly bail out on at the last minute leaving he and I to fill the card wrestling each other in front of an internet only crowd was less sketchy than XPW.

Gertner 08-18-2012 08:42 PM

I feel that Homeless Jimmy and Pogo the Clown were constatnly held back. Stupid Rob Black!!!!! When will someone care about the art of wrestling and promote workrate and stop holding these two back!!!!

itsmeJD 08-18-2012 08:42 PM

XPW fucking sucked. End of story.

Seth82 08-18-2012 09:03 PM

XPW was also responsible for this "incident"

blake639raw 08-18-2012 09:04 PM

XPW makes CZW look like the greatest promotion of all time. I can't believe anybody likes this crap. THIS is rock bottom for Flair.

DaveBrawl 08-18-2012 09:08 PM

This thread is not fair to Flair.

this was great just for New Jack's account of it in one of his shoot interviews/his explanation of his attempt to murder Vic Grimes

CSL 08-18-2012 09:13 PM

also, this is a "rumour" from what appears to be a porn site using "the rumour in wrestling circles" as justification/a source. Which means it's probably complete and utter bollocks. Let's not do the classic "make a 100 posts getting our panties in a twist and slating a guy/be all 'lol Flair' because of something written on the internet" again, especially when that something is even less reliable than the usual so called "news" sites

Isn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse?

Curd 08-18-2012 09:47 PM

I'm 90% certain that Flair will be "de-pantsed" before he's done with XPW. It's not fully being the Nature Boy if you don't moon the audience at least once a year. And going with the hardcore theme and the classic Flair motif of bleeding profusely, we will see his bleach-blonde locks turn crimson at least a few times.

Edit: I hope no one throws a water bottle at Flair. I know that XPW fans are hardcore, but hardcore !NOT!= uncouth.

Ah yes, New Jack is living the gimmick whenever he explains dangerous accidents / careless maneuvers were "retaliation" in matches against the likes of Grimes, Gypsy Joe, and Rhino. In the case of Mass Transit, NJ claimed it wasn't retaliation against a newbie wanting to be a bigshot but a difference in how much "color" was agreed upon (MT wanted to blade a little, whereas NJ bladed him deeply).

#1-norm-fan 08-18-2012 09:56 PM

I remember an RVD shoot where he talked about how after the Mass Transit incident, New Jack was backstage shouting "Good! I hope he dies!"

lol New Jack is an asshole.

CSL 08-18-2012 09:56 PM

I have no sympathy whatsoever for Vic Grimes, Mass Transit and especially Gypsy Joe

#1-norm-fan 08-18-2012 10:07 PM

What about Rhyno??

CSL 08-18-2012 10:15 PM

no idea what the alleged story between them is/never heard of them having "problems" or if I have, it's been replaced in my memory by one of the million other guy he's given shit too

How come out of curiosity?

CSL 08-18-2012 10:36 PM

Grimes hesitated/tried to back out of a spot that nearly got New Jack killed live on PPV then apparently talked shit about it afterwards, Kulas was by most accounts an idiot who thought he had a clue about the wrestling business (think the worst kind of internet poster walking into a locker room and acting like the worst kind of internet poster around "the boys") and Joe is a shitty looking 70 odd year old man who decided to no-sell for a guy like New Jack

I cannot find the video off-hand, but I recall New Jack saying in one of the shoot videos how he had to "shoot on" Rhino with his blade over allegedly "sandbagging" a bodyslam attempt by NJ. Maybe the situation was that Rhino was simply too heavy for a 230-pounder to lift and was too stocky to be leveraged over like a taller man would be.

Anyway, Rhino continued the match despite the bleeding and won via Gore through the table, as booked. They never had beef after that because Rhino took the blading without complaint. I believe that was at a non-televised show, but maybe a long-time ECW fan has the match on his VHS tape somewhere.

Okay, I won't argue with any of those points. You win, CSL. :y: NJ is as justified in his comments as he is about the numerous justified homicides he committed.

It really is unfortunate that New Jack never faced Adbullah the Butcher, The Original Sheik, or Atsushi Onita. Those would have been bloodbaths, but I guess the other talents would have been PO'ed if Heyman fronted a bunch of money to those guys to work guest matches when he couldn't afford to pay his full-time talent.

CSL 08-19-2012 12:21 AM

he has to have done something with Abdullah at some point somewhere surely outside of ECW

Yeah, I can't believe it either. :?:

Droford 08-19-2012 01:21 AM

I remember about 12 years or so watching xpw on America One network at like 2 am Saturday night..I remember candido and sunny were on one show..that's about all I remember lol

RiX1024 08-19-2012 04:44 AM

XPW was good coz it was shit.

Razzamajazz 08-19-2012 06:48 AM

the best thing about xpw was kristi myst

whiteyford 08-19-2012 08:00 AM

Lizzy Borden was alright too.

itsmeJD 08-19-2012 09:26 AM

Nothing about that fucking knockoff was alright. I doubt it even makes it off the ground, and if it does, it'll be dead within a year. Just because Shane wrestled there whitey doesn't mean his greatness rubs off on it or its "wrestlers"

whiteyford 08-19-2012 10:38 AM

I enjoyed Messiah, he was just a hardcore spot monkey but still.

itsmeJD 08-19-2012 10:53 AM

I thought I knew you.

whiteyford 08-19-2012 10:56 AM

Like you wouldn't watch Flair vs Pogo the clown in a broken glass thumbtack no rope barbwire HIV needle on a pole match

itsmeJD 08-19-2012 10:59 AM

Honestly I can't watch Flair do anything anymore unless he's just talking on a mic on elbow-dropping his jacket. His man-tits and saddlebags depress me. Also I'd prefer Pogo just inject himself with the HIV needle and fuck everyone else from XPW raw dawg style.

Not trying to start anything, but you believe that just because Kulas was an idiot, he deserved to be maimed, and pretty much murdered? I'm not denying he was probably a clueless putz, but regardless, he didn't deserve to die for it.
