Brock Lesnar vs Triple H.
It just had a flavor I really enjoyed. |
Lesnar/Trips was kinda disappointing and the Cena match from Extreme Rules was way better but it was the only match I gave a shit about so default win
|
Brock Lesnar vs Triple H
Match was worth all the hype imo. |
Alll good matches hard to pick
|
Lesnar and Triple H because Lesnar is using this new style that is coming off reallllllllllly well. They did a really good job of showing Brock off. With some fine tuning I think Brock Lesnar just walked into having some of the best work I've ever seen.
|
Gonna have to go with Ziggy/Jericho. Not "big time" or anything like HHH/Lesnar, but entertained me more with its back and forth action, and then Jericho winning via submission for the first time in ages (probably the last time he was a face or something).
Looking at the match times, it was actually the second longest match of the night (behind HHH/Brrrrock Lesnar of course) |

And having Paul Heyman by his side just makes him that much better. Paul just builds him up to even greater heights. Makes me wonder what Brock's feud with John Cena might've been had Heyman been at his side then. Can you imagine Paul cutting a promo on (or about) John Cena in the weeks leading up to the Extreme Rules match? |
Tough choice between HHH-Lesnar and Jericho-Ziggler. HHH-Lesnar was more based on hype though. Went with Jericho-Ziggler.
|
Jericho vs Ziggler.
Was the match I was interested the most going into Summerslam and it delivered. Did not actually expect Jericho to win and thought Zig might be actually cashing in the case until how the Sheamus match ended. The Triple Threat was also good but the ending was a bit weak. |
Ryback in general.
|
The darkie tag team match
|
Brock v. Trips, easy.
|
I liked Sheamus and Del Rio best. Punk/Cena/Show was very dissapointing, I was expecting a lot better but it was way too short. Lesnar/HHH kinda sucked.
|
I was surprised by how good Sheamus vs. Del Rio was. All-around great match they put together.

I guess it's just me, but I don't think HHH/Lesnar was amazing at all. I'm in no way saying it was bad, I just couldn't get into the feel of it. Then again, I watched it at 8:00pm at night and had been up since 4:00 am and was tired. Might have to watch it again.
Jericho/Ziggler got my vote though, was a good energetic match. |
Jericho/Ziggler
|
Ziggler/Jericho but i'd say by a slim margin there was a little botching going on the 2 matches that followed it were rather good as well.
|
I voted Sheamus Del Rio, although i think i should have voted for Ziggler - Jericho. the first match exceeded my expectations so i think i thought it was better than it actually was.
I didn't really dig HHH - Lesnar, it looked pretty sloppy in some places. I don't mean Lesnar's quasi-MMA style (which is actually pretty cool) they just seemed out of sync in a couple of places, plus the crowd was dead for a lot of it. |
Cena/Punk/Show for me. It was an excellent triple threat match and it told a great story. I wish it could have been a little bit longer, but for what it was, I was highly entertained. I also loved the finish: Cena's AA to Show is always impressive, but this one especially so, and Punk being the smart, cunning, sly "best in the world" champion.
Lesnar/Triple H comes in a close second. Another excellent match. I was hoping it would be a bit more brutal after all of the hype though, and I was let down that Lesnar didn't pound the ever loving shit out of Triple H like he did to Cena. I was also hoping for some blood, but all we got was Lesnar's little nose bleed. |
