Why did Christopher Daniels "leave" for so long in TNA?
 
I know he stayed around under a mask and danced as Curry Man (Suicide too?), but what the fuck? Was there a kayfabe reason or legit backstage reason for him going away for so long?

He had a storyline firing. and he was using his Chirstopher daniels gimmick in other places at the time

He didn't leave for so long.

First he got "fired" as a result of TNA's "Feast or Fired" briefcase thing. He then put on a mask and became Curry Man. Curry Man was then "fired" as a result of TNA's "Feast or Fired" briefcase thing. He then played Suicide for a bit. Then he came back as himself again. Then he was released legit in 2010. He was gone for about only a year before being rehired.

Yeah, and then Okada took over when Daniels and Kaz became themselves again, until Kazuchika Okada finally left to become the fastest rising star in NJPW today, winning the IWGP Heavyweight title a month after he returned, and recently becoming the youngest man to win the G1 Climax.

I'm not saying your opinion is wrong or anything, but why? What about Suicide did you enjoy?

Personally, I didn't like the idea of a X-Division "superhero", which is what Suicide was. I didn't like the costume either and I thought the concept was a little too over the top (as TNA is wont to be). I also didn't notice them doing so much with the character and I thought that if they were going to introduce and push a character like that they should have gone all the way.

Same thing with Glacier in WCW. I mean, yeah Mortal Kombat was big back then, but if you're going to put so much time and money behind it you might as well do something big with the guy.

Oh I agree they used him wrong, but I just always enjoyed the look of the character.

Well, NJPW is still going strong. I think you're referring to NOAH, as its slowly been on a steady decline for the last couple of years. And yes, people still wrestle over there.
