The whole Brogue Kick thing

Even in kayfabe this shit is stupid. Wrestlers or rather 'Superstars' are supposedly under contract to go bell to bell and deal with the results. How is it a particapants fault if somene runs in and accidently gets KO'd for being somewhere he should not have been.

Schlomey 09-11-2012 09:25 AM

LewisTheTruest 09-11-2012 11:10 AM

We want Steiner Screwdrivers!!!!

Schlomey 09-11-2012 11:23 AM

remember that time that Punk did a hurricarana from the top rope and landed on his head. It was only a few weeks ago so I bet you remember it.

Swiss Ultimate 09-11-2012 11:48 AM

That move ended the "career" of Thumbtack Jack.

Graspbymyself 09-11-2012 12:37 PM

Is'nt a closed fist suppose to be illegal yet it's Big Show finisher? Thumbtack Jack? That man is a fool. He was not protecting himself by not putting out his hands to help him turn over. It was not a Hayabusa incident where it was the unluck of the draw and he's a dumbass for not doing so.

Ruien 09-11-2012 12:47 PM

It is a storyline to evolve his character..........

If you want to look at it in detail, lets compare this with the NFL. In the NFL players are pair to tackle/hit the opposing players. But for safety reasons the players are not allowed to take their shoulder and ram it into someones head. If the Brogue Kick is deemed a safety hassard then it will be eliminated. That is why there is an investigation on the move.

JKWJRMON 09-11-2012 01:10 PM

Look what a kick to the head did to Bret Hart's carrier?

Swiss Ultimate 09-11-2012 01:25 PM

Ain't love a kick in the head?

Lock Jaw 09-11-2012 01:40 PM

This is going to end with a stipulation that if Sheamus uses the Brogue Kick in his match with Alberto, he automatically loses the championship. He will use it when the referee doesn't see and win. However, the next Smackdown, Booker will have no choice but to strip him of the title and present it to Alberto. Alberto will be champ for a few minutes, but there will promptly be a rematch, and Sheamus will win it back.

slik 09-11-2012 02:13 PM

I think it's really stupid.

Out of all the moves that are so "deadly" to ban...The Brogue Kick?

The Kimura Lock is cool...but not that damn, evil Brogue Kick!

dronepool 09-11-2012 02:27 PM

It's very corny of them to do this.

Rammsteinmad 09-11-2012 03:53 PM

I don't understand why Sheamus doesn't counter it with a case about Del Rio's armlock. It places people's arms in unusual positions, and did take Rey Mysterio "out of action" for a year or something.

Of course, I know the reality, is they don't do it coz it's cheap heel tactics. But y'know what I mean.

Schlomey 09-11-2012 04:07 PM

or Brock Lesnar

Jordan 09-11-2012 06:41 PM

Some of you take WWE way to seriously. They put out a sketch with Sheamus, Ricardo and Otunga, in a small court session without a fucking judge for Christ's sake. It was just meant to be retarded and funny... it was at least retarded, funny from time to time, if not for hearing Vince McMahon telling the writers "GET THE JEWS ON THIS ONE I FUCKING HATE LAWYERS, FUCKING JEWS"...

If your Lipshitz what does your arse do?

dronepool 09-11-2012 08:53 PM

The segment was funny but the ban angle is dumb.

Rock Bottom 09-11-2012 09:21 PM

i would ban the conbroguekickto but not the regal;er brogue kick

Bocephus Black 09-11-2012 09:24 PM

Brogue Boot banned for being badass, BAM!

The Whole F'n Show 09-11-2012 09:37 PM

I'm kind of surprised that they haven't continued the ban one step further, taking the cross arm breaker away from ADR. I kind of expected that to be the next step but who knows.

This, but minus the Alberto as champ thing.

Lock Jaw 09-11-2012 09:57 PM

I was just repeating/reusing the Edge/Ziggler "The Spear is Banned" storyline.

At least we know RUSSO's not responsible!

Swiss Ultimate 09-11-2012 10:19 PM

He should rename it the Rogue Kick as a loophole.

Emperor Smeat 09-11-2012 11:13 PM

Its just a quick way to make a move seem even more dangerous than normal considering Sheamus has used the moved for a long while and only now its ban worthy.

Its also like when Edge got his spear banned because suddenly it became too dangerous out of nowhere one day or Nash's Jacknife powerbomb being banned for a while in WCW.

James Steele 09-11-2012 11:32 PM

I am for anything that makes the Texas Cloverleaf a regular move I see on television.

:y: Be better also if Sheamus was able to transition into the move like Malenko did with the double under hook powerbomb.

Gimmicks never get over.

Swiss Ultimate 09-12-2012 06:24 AM

Nobody thinks Sheamus changing the name of his move is the obvious choice for this angle?

Swiss Ultimate 09-12-2012 06:52 AM

Shit, you know you're in trouble when the Helens are in disagreement.

owenbrown 09-12-2012 06:52 AM

I need some evidence please.

Swiss Ultimate 09-12-2012 06:53 AM

They posted two photos, Owen. What else do you need?
