Who will Punk fued with now?

WWE: John Cena out 4-6 Weeks After Elbow Surgery

I've seen multiple reports about Cena having to get some sort of surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow. I don't see anyone besides Cena even being a legit contender or even a decent match up on the Raw roster.

Juan 09-20-2012 03:52 AM

My guess is that he'll stay on TV and draw out this feud until at least November/December.

owenbrown 09-20-2012 03:56 AM

he'll be WWE Champion next PPV

owenbrown 09-20-2012 03:57 AM

after he no-sells his surgery

#BROKEN Hasney 09-20-2012 03:58 AM

Like he was champion last PPV?

Good detective work, owenbrown.

They can keep this feud going without Cena getting physically involved.

Luckily there's a random 6 week span between Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell which means it's likely Cena will be able to compete at HIAC.

Anybody Thrilla 09-20-2012 04:15 AM

If what I've read in here is correct, they could easily have Punk talk about how he beat respect out of Cena to the point that he put him on the shelf. In the meantime, have Randy Orton (who is doing pretty much nothing right now) step up to the plate, his momentum backed by wins over Tensai (, but you know) and "Mr. Money In the Bank" Dolph Ziggler. Throw him a couple more bones over the week and have that be your HiAC WWE title match. Cena can return the next night on Raw to talk to the retaining Punk, and we pick up right where we left off.

It seems to me that Orton is doing something with Ziggler right now so I would hope they wouldn't just throw that away but WWE does like to throw things away when she goes haywire.

I guess they could have Cena still in the match, didn't realize it was 6 weeks, but no contact between the 2 or any weeks off without either one will suck. They really are great together.

Savio 09-20-2012 07:21 AM

Punk should feud with GSP, he's not doing anthing now, Champion vs Champion.

Good thing they cancelled the early October PPV this year.

Yeah I was thinking Orton too. Maybe have Orton beat Punk in a non-title match on RAW, which earns him a shot at a WWE title match at HIAC.

Innovator 09-20-2012 10:24 AM

Only problem is Orton is leaving to film a movie.

loopydate 09-20-2012 10:25 AM

Cena

Gertner 09-20-2012 10:32 AM

Punk is not even a legit contender.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-20-2012 10:41 AM

I bet they regret putting the Raw MITB in Cena's hands now.

Emperor Smeat 09-20-2012 01:10 PM

Miz or maybe Kofi for a short term feud. Too early for a potential Rock-Punk feud while RAW itself is lacking in big name faces.

Miz could counter Punk's long reign hype with him saying he was the "must see" champion when he had the belt while Kofi would get another test push to see if he's worthy of becoming a main event star instead of just as a tag team wrestler.

Rock Bottom 09-20-2012 02:18 PM

Kofi Kingston is garbage. I wouldn't even want a main eventer to squash him on Raw.

I think he'll just keep the feud alive with Cena, and maybe not even wrestle himself.

Punk is still cementing himself as top heel, too early for a Heel vs Heel match with the Miz.

Have a Battle Royal and have Kofi win. Give him a nice 3-4 week run on TV to fill the time until Cena comes back for the PPV. Sort of like Shelton Benjamin had with HHH. Black comparison aside.

or just have the first week be a 6 man tag match (RTruth, Kofi and Rey Rey vs Kane, Bryan and Punk) with Kofi getting one over on punk due to 6 man match breakdown. Next week have Kofi beat punk in a non title match to earn his shot. Next week punk goes over clean. Kofi gets a nice rub. Punk has something to do until the PPV and fils a few weeks. Then they can build cena vs punk

Hanso Amore 09-20-2012 03:20 PM

Then from there Break Kofi back on his own and put him in a program with the Miz for the IC title that actually would be main event quality.

XCaliber 09-20-2012 03:33 PM

Gonna have to say Orton since it appears he won the series against Ziggler so now they can both go on to other things unless they decide to do a brief Champion vs Champion feud with Sheamus instead.

Swiss Ultimate 09-20-2012 04:35 PM

Miz or go to hell.

Kane Knight 09-20-2012 04:39 PM

He could feud with a cardboard cutout of Cena. Lateral move.

Joesgonnakillyou 09-20-2012 05:44 PM

Nicky Fives 09-20-2012 08:16 PM

Punk won't feud with anybody until Cena comes back.....will build up his reign total so they can play it off that he's getting closer to Cena's total.....

Shisen Kopf 09-21-2012 01:05 AM

Punk should go super dooper mega heel and change his name and gimmick. What is the opposite of CM? MC. And what is the opposite of Punk? Mainstream pop bullshit. So He should go by MC Pop and talk about mindless things and shit. Then Tensai comes out, says he is now to be known as Jap Albert and teams up with him in a feud against the Bushwhackers. Wooooo! now thats rasslin.

Didn't Vicne fire the WWE Universe?

Tommy Gunn 09-21-2012 11:46 AM

Give someone a one month throw-away WWE title push, like they did with R-Truth before he jobbed via kid at ringside assist.
