Assassins Creed
Fallout New Vegas

So without spoiling anything, what are some games I should look into purchasing, should be interested in or should move higher on the to play list?

RoXer 09-20-2012 12:02 PM

It looks like you have enough on your plate as is and your order doesn't really need to be adjusted either

El Fangel 09-20-2012 12:34 PM

Well as you can see, I am a bit behind as well in games. Basically lookin for ones I should get after these. I have no Call of Duty games so I should be able to get these done.

Emperor Smeat 09-20-2012 12:59 PM

Might as well get the other Assassin's Creed games if you have the first one.

Fignuts 09-20-2012 01:41 PM

First Assassin's Creed is decent, but all the annoying little frustrations of it, led me to quit before I finished the game.

The other AC games are superior by leaps and bounds.

El Fangel 09-20-2012 01:44 PM

I haven't started it so I don't know if I will like it. Also, is Asylum or City the first Batman game?

Ultra Mantis 09-20-2012 01:50 PM

I disliked the first Assassin's Creed so much that it completely put me off the series.

MVP 09-20-2012 01:51 PM

I'd bump Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins to the top of your list.

El Fangel 09-20-2012 01:52 PM

Ill probably start Fallout and Bioshock 2 at the same time.

Arkham Asylum is the first while City is the sequel.

Skippord 09-20-2012 02:03 PM

the Assassins Creed games are the collective love of my life

El Fangel 09-20-2012 02:12 PM

Im putting Dragon Age that low due to the fact I may not play other games after it.

Kane Knight 09-20-2012 02:26 PM

You're planning a full playthrough of RDR and you're looking for new shit to play?

Fucking hell.

Miotch 09-20-2012 02:38 PM

Well he's probably going to sell it 3 times before he finishes it again.

El Fangel 09-20-2012 02:47 PM

I sold it and used the money to buy New Vegas. I doubt many here would disagree on that decision.

Is that more or less than the number fo discs he will break?

Miotch 09-20-2012 09:06 PM

I see him getting mad at a bear and deciding the best course of action is to throw the disc out of a moving car window.

Cut to 2 hours later, filled with regret, he's picking up the cracked disc off the asphalt, trudging to gamestop to obtain another copy.

Is that driving in the real world, or a moving car in this giant sandbox that takes an hour to cross?

El Fangel 09-21-2012 10:29 AM

A little effort Miotch, You know Id go fight that bear myself.

You can't handle a neg rep. No way you'd handle a bear.

Was just at EB Games looking at Borderlands and Oblivion. Thoughts?

Swiss Ultimate 09-21-2012 06:49 PM

Borderlands was fun. I enjoyed it.

El Fangel 09-22-2012 02:02 PM

Can you liken it to another game? I am incredibly hesitant to Google because spoilers are so easy to accidentally read when I do so.

Kane Knight 09-22-2012 05:58 PM

A game with less plot than porn and he's worried about spoilers. Bioshock, he gleefully tells me all the details.

Jumping to Oblivion after the Fallouts or Skyrim will be a stretch. It's a great game, but I'd pick it up only if you had less on the plate and wanted to dick around a little. You already got the other three Bethesda RPGs there, so you'd be fine.

Borderlands is a FPS/RPG that is centered around loot grinding. It's got some great humor and is all-around a lovely game. It's meant more for co-op gameplay rather than alone. It could be a bit difficult alone, but still enjoyable. Also, the sequel is phenomenal, so it's worth it really.

Ermaximus 09-22-2012 10:18 PM

Lost Odyssey.

Yeah, Oblivion I can wait on. Borderlands looks like a grand time though.

Your plan of Fallout and RDR will take you months

But why use logic and fiscal sense?

Fryza 09-23-2012 09:30 PM

Fallout if played in droves can be done and over with quickly. if you take the time to do everything in the game (avec DLC) and wander a lot, you can still beat it in under 100 hours. So if he's just powering the game, then he could theoretically get it done in twenty - to - thirty hours.

Never beat RDR, so I can't say there.

I doubt Fangerl's going to speedrun the game. Actually, I don't think he can, but that's a different story.

However, if you're just looking to beat these games, I'd say you're missing the point of them. Especially since a big chunk of Fangerl's fetish for RDR was the story. You can rush through that game, too. It'll take you far less than 30 hours. But you will miss a lot of story.

And to be fair, RDR's mechanics are kind of shitty. Like, they're sluggish and not very tight. If online mode didn't have a fuckton of shit to do, it would have been a ghost town in six weeks.

I totally need to finish Fallout 3 one of these days.

I may have to start another game or play something alongside of RDR since this playthrough is intentionally going to be much longer then it should be.

He's gonna stop and murder every woman he comes across, picturing his wife.

Eklipse 10-11-2012 01:31 PM

Needs more NES, imo. :)
