Calgary, San Jose game..

So just finished watching CANADA win the gold medal in world hockey, and I've turned on the Flames/Sharks game.

1st period is over 2-0 Calgary
San Jose just scored to make it 2-1.

Go Flames.

samichna 05-09-2004 07:52 PM

Todd Harvey just scored for the Sharks to even it up.

MoRcHeEbA 05-09-2004 07:54 PM

Calgary played the second like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off... they need to relax

YOUR Hero 05-09-2004 08:19 PM

Yeah they looked out of order.

PowerPlay Calgary right now, 3rd period.

MoRcHeEbA 05-09-2004 08:25 PM

3-2 flames

The Outlaw 05-09-2004 08:50 PM

Speaking of the Sharks, does this Sharks team remind you of the Blackhawks from the early/mid-90's? (in terms of their physical play, etc.).

These Sharks are a MEAN bunch.

YOUR Hero 05-09-2004 09:14 PM

No

MoRcHeEbA 05-09-2004 10:52 PM

They do remind me of the 2003/2004 sharks though

road doggy dogg 05-09-2004 11:56 PM

Remember last year when everyone was like "The Sharks are going to be the man this year" then finished 2nd-last in their conference. Then this year they actually were the man and everybody was like *icon10.gif* Chieffffffffffff

Still, the Flames are gonna pwnnn them

YOUR Hero 05-10-2004 12:16 AM

Funny how things work out. The Sharks unloaded guys like Nolan last year in what was supposed to be 'their year'. Then this year they seemed to slip under the radar. Good young team. Flames gonna beat em though I hope.

road doggy dogg 05-10-2004 12:44 AM

Yeah the Sharks are pritty good, one of those teams that relies on everyone to contribute, not just their stars. I wouldn't be upset if they did win, but I'd be much much happier if Calgary did.

As for Calgary though... man, I know he's good and all, but I'm starting to get sick of everybody praising Kiprusoff and crediting all their success to him. I know he's a big reason they're where they are, but everyone's making it sound like he's carrying the team, and not giving the players the credit they deserve. :o

MoRcHeEbA 05-10-2004 01:03 AM

yeah word about Kipper, he's good and he has kept them in a few games, but he's not the whole reason they are where they are.

YOUR Hero 05-10-2004 01:49 AM

Iginla is the man BY GAWD!

Like the old saying goes, They play for the name on the front of their jerseys, not the name on the back of their jerseys.

The CyNick 05-10-2004 03:44 PM

The Flames are awesome, period.

Its nice to see a team that has struggled for so long field a team and then have a great run like they are this season. I really hope the make it to the finals, and man wouldn't it be sweet if the Cup came back to Calgary (which means Canada)?

I've enjoyed seeing some fo the young stars of the NHL step up this year. It really seems like there is a changing of the guard at the top of the nHL with guys like Iginla, Lecavailier and St Louis dominating the playoffs, while guys liek Nash had great regular seasons, and even Dany Heatly running wild overseas in the World Championships.

road doggy dogg 05-10-2004 06:42 PM

Don't ever say "come back to Calgary", when everybody knows you're just a delusional Leafs fan

The Outlaw 05-18-2004 07:49 PM

Well that's nice. I guess we will find out. I was just going by how the series is unwinding is all.

Y2Ant 05-18-2004 09:38 PM

Yeah don't the Flames keep jobbing at home by trying to be too fancy all the time or something

Y2Ant 05-18-2004 09:39 PM
