The Official RAW is RYBACK Thread 10/8/12: ARNOLD IS PSYCHING OUT PUNK & MORE

http://www.wwe.com/f/wysiwyg/image/2...C-homepage.jpg

Tensions are mounting between WWE Champion CM Punk and … well, everybody, really, after Punk refused (again) to accept John Cena’s Hell in a Cell challenge; after Punk antagonized a WWE icon (again) by humiliating Jim Ross and (again) found himself on the receiving end of Ryback’s patented death stare. It’s safe to say The Second City Saint has landed himself in a bit of a quagmire when it comes to his locker-room brethren; enemies are materializing from all sides and whether they have their sights set on the WWE Title itself or just looking to inflict some bodily harm on Punk, the champion is being slowly backed into a corner. Whether he can get himself out is just one of the five things WWE.com is looking forward to on Raw this week, not to mention the continuing adventures of Team Hell No and Antonio Cesaro: Son of Zeus.

There will definitely be plenty to tweet about for Arnold Schwarzenegger when he serves as WWE's Social Media Ambassador for Monday night's show. (MORE DETAILS)

Time for the vanilla midget to die!

Shisen Kopf 10-08-2012 12:24 PM

RYBACK is gonna kill CM Punk.

drave 10-08-2012 12:29 PM

Ha! Arnie smokin a fatty with "Arnie is Numero Uno" is fucking win, and so is that documentary, dude was a dick. WWE should let him be ambassador and market that shirt.

And yes RYBACK shall FEED!

Shisen Kopf 10-08-2012 01:13 PM

we need to get an size large than 7 when we are discussing RYBACK

CRAP. Beaten to this again...but seriously, 12:10? I mean I can understand 3pm or later for a RAW thread, but for a show that starts at 8 live, the only show of the year that should have a thread nearly 8 hours early is WM (IMHO).

Just sayin’.

As for the rest of the RAW 5-Point Preview:
The streak is over

http://www.wwe.com/f/video/thumb/201...eamus_punk.jpg

World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus’ lengthy winning streak was snapped last Wednesday on Main Event when he fell in a Champion vs. Champion Match against CM Punk. With proof that The Great White is, in fact, mortal, will this provide Big Show the opening he needs to exploit Sheamus’ weaknesses going into Hell in a Cell? And more to the point, has Dolph Ziggler finally located the chink in the armor he’ll need to cash in his Money in the Bank contract? (POLL: WHICH TITLE WILL CHANGE HANDS FIRST)

All hail Cesaro

http://www.wwe.com/f/video/thumb/201...tonio_clay.jpg

He lifts things up and puts them down! U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro pulled off the most eye-popping moment of last week’s Raw when he hoisted Brodus Clay up for the Neutralizer, eventually driving The Funkasaurus down to deal the big man an unusual loss. It’s clear now that, apart from his linguistic skills, Cesaro’s calling card is his Herculean strength; which enterprising Superstar will be the next one to step to in the ring against him?

They’re the (No. 1 contenders for the) Tag Team Champions!!!

http://www.wwe.com/f/video/thumb/201..._tag_match.jpg

The field is narrowing down as the Tag Team Tournament begins to draw to a close, and hungry tandems like Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara, The Prime Time Players, Team Rhodes Scholars and “Team Co-Bro” (Santino/Zack Ryder) are still very much in the hunt. which team will outlast the others and challenge Team Hell No for the twin titles, and, most importantly, will Kane & Daniel Bryan be able to stop bickering long enough coming off two big wins to mount a successful defense? Where’s Dr. Shelby when you need him?

And now, The Chairman

http://www.wwe.com/f/video/thumb/201...dsc_100112.jpg

We’re slightly concerned for Raw General Manager AJ Lee. Not only does she have at least two (highly qualified) people gunning for her job right now, but also with Mr. McMahon coming to Raw for a “State of WWE address,” speculation is running wild as to what The Chairman will focus on. Given the events of the last few weeks, our money’s on AJ, her recent probation by the Board of Directors and the power plays by Vickie Guerrero and Paul Heyman to have her removed from power. Her control of Raw is very much in question right now, and with Vickie and Heyman nipping at her heels, AJ will need the show to run as smooth as can be to show the powers that be they have nothing to fear with her in the driver’s seat. That may be a problem when it comes to the brewing storm that is our last point in this preview …

I give the people what they want.

They want Ryback.

I want Ryback and Arnold.

Do they really have to muck up everybody’s TV screens by having Vince appear for this whole A.J. thing? They can’t take a little bit more time with it and just have Cole or an interviewer or somebody pass on the news when A.J. is (probably, anyway) fired soon?

Then again, I'm not sure VKM will die happy unless he dies in the ring with his 14,295-year old mug up against the poor camera guy’s lens...

Discussion: What do you guys think about RYBACK becoming the next Raw GM?

Supreme Olajuwon 10-08-2012 02:11 PM

Personally, I think it's a good idea.

Shisen Kopf 10-08-2012 02:17 PM

I dont think he should be the GM...not yet. Maybe next year but he still has to win the Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, the WWE and World Heavyweight titles first. I am, gonna write this man in for president of the USA: RYBACK

drave 10-08-2012 02:17 PM

if RYBACK were to be the next GM, they would have to feed him MOAR SHOWZ! Therefore, in a few weeks time, he would be GM of every show, and then begin to fill VKM's shoes, thus becoming the boss of Triple Hay-tch.

ANNNNNND GO!

Shisen Kopf 10-08-2012 02:23 PM

one day stephanie is gonna leave Triple H for RYBACK

I would love that idea. RYBACK would make a much better GM than AJ and Booker T combined. In fact, I want to see RYBACK put Booker T and AJ on his shoulders and march around their offices.

A good idea? No. I’d rather (now that we have fuel for it) see Vickie and Heyman fight for the spot only to be named co-GM’s by the Board of Directors.

What RyBack could use right now is an awesome manager who could be his hype guy and main spokesperson, sort of like how Heyman is to Punk right now. I’m not suggesting Heyman should be that person, as it obviously wouldn’t work if you think about the #1 reason for that logic, but he could really use someone like that right now. Really he just does the SCSA WM/RAW routine, Arrive. Eat ‘meal’. Chant, then leave. All I’m saying is that by squashing all these guys over the past few months and doing his chant makes him seem, in my eyes, VERY 1-dimensional at the moment.

They have just been hyping him up, and doing a helluva job at it. Do squash matches have their purpose? Yes AND no, with your knowledge, I don't think I need to elaborate... also, I am a dumbass so I shall not try, lulz.

Anyway, compare him to say..... Brodus Clay. Both dudes had some serious repackaging and both started their "squashing" around the same-ish time. Clay has had some more "meaningful" opponents, but his current gimmick is beyond wank. Not that we need another "RAWR, ME BIG N BAD" guy, but his dancing gimmick blows twatdonkey testicles, twice.

RYBACK has been beast for a long while now, and I feel he is going to really fuck shit up in the next couple weeks. He "squashed" The Miz (one of my fav heels at the moment) last week, or the week before, that should hold some credit, amirite!?

drave 10-08-2012 03:03 PM

And yes, while the thought of him being GM is a farcry (thou shalt nayeth doubt the Ryback it's a commandment, someone start a fucking list, people love lists) it would be interesting to see Heyman / Vickie be co-gm's. Both have tons of heat right now, and the two of them could potentially make for some entertaining, if not comedic moments.

I hope Vince makes RYBACK his new chosen champion. RYBACK w/ Vince McMahon vs Punk w/ Heyman.

So long as it doesn't end up like the last "hand picked VKM" champ.... you know, that one guy, Drew McIntyre. That dude has the potential to be great too, and I would rather see him on TV than someone like Brodus Gay :foc:

Just seems like the shift for the past couple years has been "Here is a new guy, let's make him badass and champ, to have him drop it 30 days later and then we can wish him well on his future endeavors". I think this is where Swagger is heading, but I can't complain much on that. The dude bores the living daylight out of me and his "Swagger appreciation night" was the most boring, long-winded shit promo ever. May Young giving birth to a hand was more entertaining.

Pintint 10-08-2012 04:27 PM

I still like Drew and wish he got a serious push in the upper mid card.

drave 10-08-2012 04:29 PM

Oh I do too! I think he should feud with Cesaro and take the title, to be honest. I do like Cesaro's unorthodox style tho.
