If it's for a #1 contender spot then I'm all for it..

Hasn't this been known for awhile?

It's not even an official match.. I believe the general feeling were that Machida was gonna face Rashad until Rashad took a fight with Lil Nog and that was only like two days ago..

They should just give it to hendo

I wouldn't mind Hendo just getting #1 contender status. Thing is Hendo hasn't fought since last December. I don't think dude is struggling financially, but at the same time I'm sure he wouldn't mind getting another pay check.

He has to fight three times before next November. He is not going to wait around for Bones.

I rather see Hendo vs Shogun 2.

Hendo shouldn't have to do jack shit to earn a title shot. Chael jobbed Hendo out to get this shot.

Why shouldn't he have to do "jack shit"?? Rashad had to fight Davis was he returned after an injury took him out of the title fight with Shogun..

Shad, as much as i love the guy, made a monumentally stupid decision to wait on an injured fighter instead of taking an interim title fight or any other fight. He sat out the year awaiting Shogun's recovery. He was out of the octagon for about 18 months(?) before he fought Phil Davis.

Dan Henderson didn't make such a decision I don't completely know the story, but if Hendo is healthy and JBJ is healthy then why the hell aren't they doing the TUF?

I don't think that has anything to do with it all. The original coaches were supposed to be Chael and Rampage. It's obvious they wanted Chael to be a part of it no matter what and when a big name like Rampage fell through, JBJ became the more logical choice in terms of opponents Chael could be Chael against. I don't think Sonnen has it in him to disrespect Hendo the same way he does Silva, Rampage, Jones, etc....

Let's not forget, Jones is injured to and actually said he would be rehabbing during the show.
