*New Problem* Monitor Troubles (Post #7)

There's a desktop PC that I'm wanting to buy, but someone has left a question on the site asking if the PC is suitable for wireless connection.

The reply was no, because the PC doesn't have a built in wireless card. So my question is this....

Does that mean you can't get a wireless connection on the PC ever, or can you still get a wireless connection by simply doing something, like using a wireless USB device that would be inserted into the tower and then installing the wireless router?

Nah, as long as it has USB ports or PCI slots free, you can always throw some wireless adaptor on that bad boy.

Fantastic! I thought as much.

Now, I'm off to order a PC!

I thought I'd use this thread for another problem I seem to be having, so I don't need to make another pointless thread that would only get about two replies.

Anyway, I don't seem to be having the best of luck with technology as of late and just yesterday my monitor began automatically displaying the brightness/contrast menu and automaticly scrolling through the options. The only ways I can stop this from happening is if I time it just right when the exit option is highlighted and I press the button on my monitor to get rid of it. The other way is if I just hit the power button on my monitor and then turn it back on again.

But after I do one of the two, the same thing happens again.

I'm pretty sure my monitor is on it's way out, so thankfully Christmas is just around the corner. I also hear Dell monitors (which is what I have) is somewhat notorious for this problem.

So any ideas of what's causing this problem and if there is any way to fix it?

Also, for the record, I had to deal with the menu appearing a good 19 times as I was typing that last post.

Maybe it's trying to make your post colour legible.
