DVD Problem
I am having a problem playing DVDs on my computer. I have PowerDVD 4.0 installed, but when I put the DVD into the only drive I have on my computer, it says nothing is in the disc drive. I have Windows XP, btw, if that helps. Help would be greatly appreciated. |
Try re-installing the drivers for the player. If that doesn't work, the drive might just be ****ed up. :(
|
yeah if powerdvd don't work try another program like windvd and see what happens :) Does this problem occur for every dvd?

Yeah, it happens with every DVD. Also, PowerDVD is the only thing I can afford. Triple A, how do I go about doing what you talked about? |
well is the dvd-rom or whatever even recognizing the dvd itself at all?
|
what you mean you can only afford powerdvd? your actually buy the programs :\
|
Find out what kind of DVD drive it is, like the brand, and go to the brand's website, and DL the drivers for it.

Nope, not recognizing it. I put the DVD in and it says that there is nothing in my E Drive. |
When you open Power DVD does it have a setting where you give it the location of the dvd?
or when you look in my computer does the DVD drive indicate that there is a dvd in it without opening PowerDVD up? Like someone said you may have to reinstall the DVD drive itself. It may simply need cleaning. |
