What city/state has put out the best wrestlers?

Might be a little biased being I'm from Houston but Texas has put out some of the greatest wrestlers in history. Undertaker, HBK, Stone Cold & the list goes on & on.
In your opinion which state is known for putting out great wrestlers?

Vastardikai 12-13-2012 06:19 PM

Augusta, GA was the city Hulk Hogan was born in. Nearby Aiken, SC was the birthplace of the Big Show.

I really don't like Philly, but I must admit that it is a good wrestling town. Also, nearly anywhere in the south.

Either random places from the great state of Minnesota, or Baddstreet, USA.

Shisen Kopf 12-13-2012 07:16 PM

Undertaker is from Death Valley. You gotta go by that. So fuck off Houston!

Nicky Fives 12-13-2012 08:16 PM

Calgary (dramatic pause), Alberta, Canada

Going with Minnesota, and not just because I spend a lot of time there when I'm not in the equally-as-freezing-cold land known as England.

Bobby Jaggers and the citizens of Dunlap, KS beg to differ.

WinterDecay 12-13-2012 09:05 PM

Wise @$$ answer: Special Forces, WCW.

True answer: Calgary, Alberta Canada.

VSG 12-13-2012 09:20 PM

Houston, of course.

Other than some of the ones already mentioned i'd say North & South Carolina seems to pump out a lot of talent.

May not be the top but The ole Hometown should get a mention. Pittsburgh with Bruno Sammartino, Kurt Angle, Larry Zbyszko and "The Franchine" Shane Douglas to name a few.

even better.

Anybody Thrilla 12-14-2012 02:58 AM

Didn't really need Bam Neely on that other list, either.

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-14-2012 03:04 AM

Yeah that's why he was last on the list. It was sort of in order of awesomeness. Wanted the complete list from the wiki or I wouldn't have included Neely or the Z-Man.

The Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Man

Saving Grace 12-14-2012 03:21 AM

Any of the Carolina states. Most of the best and most popular wrestlers of the 60's through the 80's and even into the early 90's came out of the Carolinas and the Carolina promotions of the NWA.

Anybody Thrilla 12-14-2012 03:23 AM

ever heard of a 16x World Champion named Ric Flair....Ricky Steamboat....Chief Jay Strongbow.....Wahoo McDaniels....Magnum TA, Tully Blanchard, Ronnie Garvin, Butch Reed, The Brisco Brothers, and the list can go on and on.

Anybody Thrilla 12-14-2012 03:35 AM

I wasn't even disagreeing. Just asking.

Also, Ric Flair's not that good.

Saving Grace 12-14-2012 03:39 AM

Albeit he may not be one of the best pure wrestlers ever but the guy was the top draw outside of the WWE and Hogan for near two decades and had some of the best matches in that time period hands down. His fueds with Luger, Sting, Steamboat, Funk, Harley Race, and Dusty Rhodes were some of the best you could ask for.
