TNA Does something right for once

As much as I don't care for most of their product, I happened to watch TNA last night and found that they actually did something relevant and right for once:

They resigned Velvet Sky!!

Probably one of the best moves they have made in quite a while. Yes its a knockout/diva so who cares right? Sorry but the lady can go in the ring and she was a huge draw with the male audience, she's a beautiful woman.

I give credit to Dixie Carter to at least realize she lost a starpower knockout who drew with the crowd and worked at re-signing her.

James Steele 12-14-2012 12:49 PM

I am interested to see where the AJ Styles thing goes. I hope it isn't just another continuation of his annual babyface/heel turn.

James Steele 12-14-2012 12:49 PM

Can't stand Jeff Hardy still.

Saving Grace 12-14-2012 12:54 PM

Jeff Hardy is pretty much from what I hear on his way out. I've heard rumors that his back is pretty much fucked at this point. I know his TNA contract is up in February and according to some of the dirt sheets I've read that he's been not willing or unable to reach a new agreement with TNA management. But then again take a dirt sheet for what it is, just a dirt sheet. But you can clearly see it that he's not performing at the level a Jeff Hardy match once was, you can see he's clearly hurting at points in alot of his matches.

Anybody Thrilla 12-14-2012 12:56 PM

I was more happy to see Madison Rayne back, honestly. I like Velvet, though.

Also, Bully Ray looked like a killer last night. Props to Jesse for taking that chest slap. Fucking brutal.

Saving Grace 12-14-2012 01:06 PM

Bully Ray has definately impressed me with his turn around in the ring and the shape that he has gotten himself in. I'm also impressed with Devon in singles as well, Aces and Eights albeit a storyline not worked correctly is a good outfit for him to be the on TV ring leader for.

Anybody Thrilla 12-14-2012 01:10 PM

I didn't think Bully would work as a face when I saw it first start happening, but it looks as if he'll keep most of the elements that made him awesome as a heel. Austin Aries is the man, too.

I'm still not sold on Devon. He feels pretty forced in the biker gang.

Saving Grace 12-14-2012 01:13 PM

I'm sold more on Devon than Luke Gallows. Hey look I got a shaved head and I hit people with a hammer just isn't working for me.

Anybody Thrilla 12-14-2012 01:23 PM

I'm digging D.O.C., actually. I mean, he's no Luke Gallows, but you'll have that. The hammer is a creative weapon, and it looks pretty good when used.

whiteyford 12-14-2012 01:24 PM

Which one's Velvet Sky?

Thought you meant the drag queen for a minute.

Nicky Fives 12-14-2012 01:34 PM

She is still terrible in the ring and by far not the most attractive "Knockout" in the company..... but the fans dig her and it was a smart decision to bring her back.....

if this girl is hot then i must be gay

The Condor 12-14-2012 01:58 PM

Best thing TNA ever did was the promo from last year with Hogan, Flair and insane Sting when Flair started dropping F-Bombs, Sting did a horrible impression of a gay man and Hogan blustered about nonsense. Loved it for all the wrong and right reasons.

Saving Grace is gay. Got it.

whiteyford 12-14-2012 02:43 PM

I think it was more of a wild statement to show his apathy towards her looks but I see why you might think that, my video probably didn't help.

I thought overall last night was a pretty good show. I like that Angle has more or less "taken over" for Sting against Aces and Eights. I've felt he had been horribily under used for awhile in TNA. I couldn't help but laugh when Robbie E and T got a pretty big pop last night. I'm thinking the other "big guy" is gonna be the next one unmasked (the one that took out Kurt's knee and then was in the tag match)

MoFo 12-14-2012 05:48 PM

Saw some recent photoshoots of her and Angelina and she looked dreadful, skanky as fuck.

Wehttam 12-14-2012 07:18 PM

my welcome

Curd 12-14-2012 08:18 PM

Tara and Velvet should team as "The Cougar (referring to Tara's age) and The Skunk" (referring to Sky's dye job).

Agreed. I'm still waiting for Devon's sons to come out and waffle Jeff Hardy with whiffle ball bats. Devon's a family man, not a thug!

James Steele 12-15-2012 04:46 AM

I will admit, the Aces & 8s theme is pretty damn catchy.

Skippord 12-15-2012 05:28 AM

what's the deal with Jeff Hardy's music?

heard it the other day and thought I was having a fever dream

#BROKEN Hasney 12-15-2012 05:30 AM

Swear I'm the only person alive who enjoys Hardy's TNA entrance themes.

Skippord 12-15-2012 06:14 AM

I actually think I liked it, it's just really weird

also liked Modest and that one from when he was a in that group with Hulk Hogan. Someone post it so I can clarify if I like it or not

Probably his worst one for me, since he attempts to sing somewhat in a tune and it really doesn't work.

Since you have the Sandow thing going on, I feel perfectly justified beating this dead horse.

Resign means to give up or withdraw from a job, office, or position.

Re-sign means to sign again.

Get it right. You were 50% in the opening post.

YOU'RE WELCOME.

Difference is, Velvet Sky is actually attractive.

DAMN iNATOR 12-15-2012 01:09 PM

Here I was thinking that inside the thread I’d read that they had been cancelled...http://www.tpww.net/forums/images/icons/icon11.gif

Anybody Thrilla 12-15-2012 01:14 PM

Some of you really are quite ridiculous when it comes to gauging attractiveness. Velvet Sky is sexy.

whiteyford 12-15-2012 01:24 PM

Any hole's a goal.

I dunno I just think her clothes, hair, makeup all detract from it a bit. Yeah, I get that she's a female wrestler and they're supposed to be all dolled up for TV or whatever, but there's so many other examples of that in women's wrestling that it just reeks of superficiality.

7.7/10.

Anybody Thrilla 12-15-2012 04:52 PM

Who is a 10 for you?

Honestly, like, I dunno if I've ever rated a female wrestler a perfect 10 in my head. Sort of feels wasted if you just toss out 10's willy-nilly. I’d say Stacy Keibler, Torrie and Trish come the closest, they'd probably rate anywhere between 9.4-9.9ish...:-\

Anybody Thrilla 12-15-2012 05:06 PM

You have to have a 10. Maybe someone will come along and make you change your scale eventually, but you have to have a 10.

I know. But certainly you can understand where I wouldn’t want it to feel like just a waste on someone who everybody else says is a “6.5 -- maybe a 7 at best”.

Can’t you?
