How big of a draw is Kurt Angle for TNA?

So it looks like Kurt Angle has more or less taken over the feud against Aces & Eights for Sting. So how big of a draw is Kurt Angle for TNA and what do you think they should be doing with him? Off the bat, he has name recognition by wrestling fans and is a former multi time world champion. He still is in beyond amazing shape and is one of the few guys that can work just as well as a heel or a face in the ring. Personally, I think he's one of the biggest stars they have and I'd like to see Angle get another run in TNA as the World Heavyweight Champion. |
nothing in tna is a draw

Although TNA wanted Angle to be their "guy" that draws the viewers over, and maybe for a bit it did. But overall, I don't see him as the big draw to TNA right now.
He'd be a bigger draw returning to WWE, or staying for that matter, than bringing over viewership to TNA.... |
He's a big enough draw that it makes me sad that I don't watch TNA because I am missing out on Kurt Angle.
He is not a big enough draw for me to start watching TNA, though. (Unlike Christian was :shifty:) |
TNA's allure is that it is pro wrestling.
No one tunes in for a specific wrestler or angle. Their entire fanbase is hardcore wrestling fans that cant get enough even with WWEs crazy amount of original content, and watches to supplement it. They could fire every "star" tomorrow and their ratings would stay the same. |

Although I do think that Hardy probably draws a little bit for them. Not on a level that actually matters, but I'm sure that if he left their ratings would go down a tiny bit. |

Kurt angle is not a draw he hasnt been good since he shaved his hair
|
I agree in the sense that he should be champ again, but now isn't the time. He is at the point where he needs to be the one in there with the "new-ish" guys to give them some rep by putting them over. Thing is, with angle, he can put over anyone and BOTH he and his opponent will look damn good doing it.
Angle = good draw, regardless where he wrestles. |

He drew fans into TNA just like Hogan did. He has been in TNA for such a long period of time and TNA has had a shit product for most of it no one cares anymore.

TNA pulled a 2.0 for two week and dwindled after that when Hogan came in. Do not remember the numbers for Kurt because it was such a long time ago but he slightly spiked the number for a couple weeks too.

Now ask yourself if you care. That will answer your own question about this thread. |
I was watching when that happened.

i think the only active wrestlers in existence today with any real draw value are John Cena, CM Punk, i can't really think of any other wrestlers that fans 'pay to see'.
and as Hanso said the draw for TNA is the product itself |

I really like the product as it is right now except for the main feud which is that Aces & 8's tosh. If that's you're main event, I can see why people are turned off. |

I seriously doubt it. I don't think people tune in specifically to see Angle wrestle, perform, whatever. |
Not sure if they still do it, but having things like feast or fired on PPV but holding off on the results till the following Impact would surely put people off ordering the events, doesn't matter who is on the cards.
