I may attend an Indie Wrestling show in two weeks

Jerry Lynn is wrestling in his final Canadian appearence February 9th and it's literallya 2 minute walk from my house. Michael Elgin from ROH is also on the card.

Soooo, if I decide to go TPWW will be rewarded with the first and probably last

Gertner posts his live thoughts from an Indie Wrestling Show!

Good idea? I will probably do it if I receive the thumbs up here.

Tazz Dan 01-25-2013 07:45 AM

Even more reason for me to bake you a cake.

Tazz Dan 01-25-2013 07:46 AM

Can't believe I made that post in casual and hadn't even seen this thread. Feel a bit tripped out now

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 07:47 AM

I've been to a TNA show in my city and it was FULL of indie douchebags yelling random shit. I imagine this may cause me to start hitting people with chairs.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 07:49 AM

I know Blitz is going to this event. Biggest douchebag I know :)

Rammsteinmad 01-25-2013 08:07 AM

Is it an indy event that involves lots of flips and "Indy" wrestling? Or is it one of those family wrestling show indy events, with the usual comedy antics, basics, good guy vs. bad guy etc?

Either way, regardless of how you view it on TV (or computers), wrestling shows are generally a lot of fun live, so go and enjoy yourself.

What Would Kevin Do? 01-25-2013 08:17 AM

Do it!

Schlomey 01-25-2013 08:50 AM

Sounds interesting but I have zero hope for you these days, tbh.

Indy wrestling. Border City Rasslin is serious business.

James Steele 01-25-2013 08:57 AM

I'd rather you go to hell and fuck off forever.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 08:58 AM

Maybe HHH could fuck the owners daughter and win this belt too

Zero hope in anything that isn't negative. Ok fine I have 5% hope.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 09:14 AM

What if I pay Blitz a compliment on his attire?

Schlomey 01-25-2013 09:19 AM

I just want you to enjoy yourself and not look for things to make fun of or hate.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 09:26 AM

Lemme tell ya , this mission will be hard hitting and fair and balenced. If my thoughts are too EXTREME for you than change the channel! If you're expecting this to be all rosey and positive you've got another thing coming!

I've gone to a few busch league shows and although the action never matches what we see weekly on tv I always have fun and just love getting caught up in it all.

I changed my mind, if finding the negatives is what you find fun I support it because at least you are going and having...gertner fun.

mike adamle 01-25-2013 09:37 AM

Just be sure to pick on Michael Elgin's stupid mullet

Ruien 01-25-2013 09:57 AM

Don't go! Some fat indy fan may think you are a snack.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 09:59 AM

And Sclomo, if you've followed my legendary career here, you'd know that it's not the wrestling that ill be making fun of, it's the loser douchebag fans yelling out smark comments all night, trying to get themselves over. Hence the term I coined "fat basement dwelling virgins"

whiteyford 01-25-2013 10:05 AM

I look forward to this.

I'd say go for it, Jerry still is gonna put on a good match..... Oh wait, you didn't write Flynn? Never mind, stay home and watch How I Met Your Mother

Curd 01-25-2013 10:14 AM

Are you doing penance for something, Gertner?

whiteyford 01-25-2013 10:16 AM

Is Border City D'Amores promotion?

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 10:18 AM

Yeah, I. Used to go to his shows when I was younger. The cards are always cool and the local talent is just a notch below CM Punk.

Cuse8 01-25-2013 10:24 AM

you could meet the future mrs gertner?

whiteyford 01-25-2013 10:28 AM

Worth it to see Jerry Lynn I guess, always surprised D'amore never went further.

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 10:28 AM

There's gonna be a lot of competition there so I don't know.

Too small. He was basically a poor man's Tazz and he didn't even get a shot to fulfill his potential.

Shadrick 01-25-2013 10:29 AM

I can just imagine Gertner sitting in his chair, sulking the whole time, and screaming "I FUCKING HATE IT HERE" every 20 seconds.

Innovator 01-25-2013 10:30 AM

Do it. Please.

I meant more booking wise, wasn't he the guy who booked the knockouts during their boom period?

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 10:34 AM

Yeah that's him. I actually met Jerry Lynn at an event when I was in high school. Got to interview him on video along with Rhino for a high school project. Pretty cool.

whiteyford 01-25-2013 10:36 AM

I miss Rhino:'(

DaveBrawl 01-25-2013 10:47 AM

This should be amazing.

at the last show I went to this fat, toothless handicapped couple were in the audience yelling the entire time at the heels. She even hit one of them after he cheated....the whole show she was yellin "he's a cheeeta YOUR A CHEEETA!" it was hilarious. I get it now :)

It also means that he's probably the next owenbrown

Kane Knight 01-25-2013 11:38 AM

Will there be any ERAG matches?

Rollermacka 01-25-2013 12:32 PM

Seriously though, there are some good Indy companies out there. I work for acouple, there are storylines and there are more than 5 matches in a 3 hours show. In fact... if anybody is intrested in seeing their favorite mustachioed Titan and is gonna be in the Houston area this Saturday, let me know ;)

Bad News Gertner 01-25-2013 04:04 PM

I wonder if I should let the company know I'm attending so they can add my name to the flyer and boost ticket sales? I'm sure it would sell out.
