Wrasslers who came back as a heel?
Seems like anytime a wrassler gets injured/takes some sort of lenghty abscence, they always come back as a babyface, even if they were a heel last time you saw them.
Is there any cases that prove otherwise? I don't really count Jericho last year because he was acting like a babyface at first and high fiving fans and shit. |
Kane's most recent return with the mask.

And I dunno about the Jericho return... it was part of the plan, and they knew he'd get huge pops for coming back and they worked to sort of undermine that from the beginning...
Returning is difficult to do as a heel in this day and age. Fans are savvy enough that many are still glad to see a wrestler come back. |
tensai, kane
wasnt kevin nash a heel when he came back the most recent time. not the rumble appearance because people cheer for everyone there |
Hogan Hall and Nash came back to the WWF as the NWO as heels.

CM Punk got injured as the fallen leader of the Straight Edge Society and returned to lead the New Nexus, but he did kind of get over as a goofy commentator during his recuperation, so I don't know if that counts.

Goldberg when they turned him heel at Great American Bash 2000. He was coming back from his limousine punching injury and they had him help Jeff Jarrett beat Kevin Nash for the WCW Championship, joining up with Jarrett, Russo and Bischoff.
