Man gets shot in eye, more upset Punk lost title
From PWInsider:
ABC affiliate WSYR featured a story on their newscast last night about a local man, 77 year old Thomas Dotterer, who was shot last week in the eye during the robbery of a liquor store he owns in Syracuse, NY. Dotterer, who likely will lose his vision, was already back to work a week later. During an interview with the station, he noted that losing his eye wasn't the thing that upset him the most last week - it was The Rock defeating CM Punk for the WWE title. The anchor covering the story noted during the broadcast that he sent messages to Punk and Rock via Twitter and Punk wrote back asking if the story was true and that he "needed to see the footage". They then passed the video footage link to Punk, who responded, "Tom Dotterer is amazing. He's got my respect. If he needs anything from me let me know." The Rock has not yet responded. Now that's having passion for something.

Still a virgin at 77? See what could happen people?
What a great story. I hope Punk breaks kayfabe (like it exists anymore with BEA STAR and all the PR stuff) and makes a visit.
Kind of breaking kayfabe already by showing support to a dude that owns a liquor store.
I'm sure this old man believes in all of Jesse Ventura's conspiracy theories.
Wait you don't?

Why does he need to break kayfabe in order to support the guy? Sure he goes against the fans, but he could easily hold him up as a shining example. A rose among the weeds. Especially with the Phoenix Screwjob angle he's playing up. The people are outraged!
He can't be a CM Punk fan. He has a job.

That liqour store is not in a good section of Syracuse. One of my friends told me he picks up hookers on that street.
Used to drive by that liquor store everyday on my way to my last work site. Might stop by this weekend and show the dude some support

It's weird. The old man is a huge Punk fan, but he was the first one to want to hang up, and left CM Punk on the line with the radio host lol. It felt kind of awkward. |
I like how the dude barely lets Punk say anything.
He didn't seem to excited to meet Punk, IDK.
Maybe the old man was trolling that news reporter and it just got out of hand and now he can't get out of it lol. Maybe next we'll find out that Manti Te'o is connected to this somehow. |
