Will Jeff Hardy return to the WWE?

As a most of you might know, WWE has added Jeff Hardy's alumni profile on the WWE website. A lot of the speculation is that it's their way of bringing him back or sending out feelers to him; or maybe we're just over thinking it and they're are just giving him a profile. Which leads me to this question....
Will Jeff Hardy ever return to the WWE? If so, how we'll he be used?

KyleEmmott 02-07-2013 08:07 PM

When he was the World Heavyweight Champion, it was getting the main event of big PPVs (it actually main evented Summerslam in 2009). And as far as I know, Smackdown was actually getting higher ratings than RAW at some points when Jeff Hardy was on Smackdown. That, and he pretty much made CM Punk into the top heel in the company at that time (until they started horribly butchering CM Punk for the latter half of 20091and all of 2010).

Jeff Hardy (and Randy Orton) is one of the reasons I think the Wellness Policy should have a probation period where, if you stay clean for a set amount of time (maybe a year or so), one of your strikes should wear off. I'm sure WWE would welcome him back with open arms with pay that's worthy of a top star, but the 2 strikes basically hinder him completely. Just look at how short each of his world title reigns were. Plus, he's actually clean and sober now, since he felt bad for ruining Victory Road 2011 (and rightfully so). I think the probation period would help save a lot of wrestlers' careers, simply because having 2 strikes means you're pretty much screwed out of a lot of opportunities, even if you successfully came out of rehab.
^^There's my opinion

his contract is due up this year, if it isn't already. Depends on him and whether he wants to go full-time again or could maybe do something limited dates wise, I doubt he needs the money at this point. WWE would definitely take him back and in a headline spot as well.

James Diesel 02-07-2013 08:36 PM

I hope he just goes home

Keith 02-07-2013 08:52 PM

I don't want him to return, but he probably will. He's gotten enough chances and he's pissed them away, but if he's willing to go back to WWE, I think they'll have him.

Schlomey 02-07-2013 08:55 PM

Dirt sheets say he's staying put

Jeff Hardy's last WWE run was spot on and really solidified me as a fan of his, so I really hope he comes back.

Another feud with Punk would be cool

Tazz Dan 02-07-2013 09:19 PM

I would love to see him back. His last run was good like Juan said, and Hardy/Punk II has so much potential.

Tazz Dan 02-07-2013 09:20 PM

His 'feud' with HHH is also a personal favourite of mine.

Keith 02-07-2013 09:44 PM

I would be cool if Hardy came back as leader of The Shield, for some reason.

Corporate CockSnogger 02-07-2013 09:51 PM

Loved his feud with Triple H.

JimmyMess 02-07-2013 10:09 PM

WWE won't sign him because he can't leave the USA due to his legal issues.

R-Truth still has a job..... never was a huge fan of his, but he could put on some great matches with virtually anyone..... he will be back one day if he can keep his nose clean for a few more years.....

Droford 02-07-2013 10:42 PM

Dixie Carter just said she signed him to a long term deal so..probably not

R Truth is allowed to travel internationally. Hardy is not, so I don't see the WWE being willing to fork out a big some of money to him if he can't do any of their multiple international tours.

Once these legal issues have been resolved then things could change, but until then, I don't see it happening.

Tazz Dan 02-07-2013 11:50 PM

Truth can't go to Canada.

Tazz Dan 02-07-2013 11:51 PM

Or Australia.

I think that issue may have been resolved because I'm pretty sure he was on Raw the last time they were in Canada

Juan 02-08-2013 01:26 AM

I only mention it because I remember someone pointing it out in a Raw thread

Black Widow 02-08-2013 02:38 AM

i'd be glad to see him back.

Curd 02-08-2013 03:20 AM

Jeff Hardy will not be returning to WWE anytime soon:

Even better if, at the reveal, he comes down to the ring like he did at Genesis that one time... street clothes, cig in his mouth, taking his time while the other 3 guys do the heavy lifting on the in-ring victim. Jeff gets there in time to capatalize on the 3-man powerbomb with a swanton.

Ruien 02-08-2013 09:26 AM

Don't see it happening. He has two strikes already and is known to relapse often.

well if he ever comes back it will be when he is ready to retire and him going in to the hall of fame. the same thing which i think is hapening with angle, angle said he has 3 years left in wrestling and said 2 of them will be with tna. so that must mean he plans a last year run with wwe.

Emperor Smeat 02-08-2013 02:02 PM

Maybe in the future for some non-wrestling or "Legends" appearance role once his new TNA deal is over.

I meant to say "I'd be cool with him coming back as leader of The Shield".

I don't know what happened there. Maybe a "blood cut" exploded inside my head, like that other guy said in another thread.

SPOILER: show
Or maybe I'd be cool because I'm Jeff Hardy

Never really cared for him outside of a couple of feuds, wouldn't mind him back for a brief run though at the end of his TNA contract ala Jericho.

Classy and Gassy 02-09-2013 10:15 AM

HOF material?

MoFo 02-09-2013 02:35 PM

He seems wasted (more ways than one) in TNA, sort of half-arsed his matches and looks disinterested.

Wanna see him back in WWE b/c, well hes an awesome wrassler. Him vs Orton @ the Rumble is one of my fave matches. Twist of Fate into RKO finish was tremendousssssss.

mike adamle 02-10-2013 07:52 AM

I'd love to see Jeff Hardy against someone like Daniel Bryan after watching Hardy-Aries at Bound For Glory.
