i could never stand him on the mic.

He was the greatest announcer in the history of our sport!

from what little i remember he wasn't that bad.

He was alright, nothing special.

I enjoyed his work, honestly. He wasn't a great PBP guy though. I think he'd be good on color.

I liked him, but then I was a kiddie mark during his main days behind the desk, so I really had no reason to hate him.

He's alright, nothing against him.

I liked him, theres alot worse out there. I enjoyed his chemistry with Ventura

he was ok as an announcer.

sadly the only time i didnt care to see him was back in early wcw when he was a back/side stage interviewer and had the goatee or mustache look.

he occasionally had some good dialogue with heenan, and some solo 1 liners.

You seriously had to make this thread just so I could post this pic.

He put butts in seats! He called EVERYTHING a "sidewalk slam"! And don't forget how he would break the fourth wall by telling us when something was a shoot by exclaiming "... this is real life here, folks!" And's lets not forget that amazing dynamic he had with Stevie Ray in the booth...

He was never the best guy, but he was essentially the voice of WCW for many years. That has to count for something.

He should induct Foley into the hall of fame

Agreed with last post. I think he's getting the X-Pac treatment of TPWW

Honestly, he's miles better than anybody on commentary right now. JBL does Colour Commentary so he's not in the running.
